Is solo play viable?
Is the game viable to play solo in a single-player focus? Or is it more of a multiplayer game?

Thanks

Yes you can solo. I would suggest though asking questions regarding settings. You can change the damage settings and a ton of stuff when you make your own server.

That's good. What settings should I be looking out for?

If you want a more relaxed experience I'd probably triple storage/stack counts. I'd reduce V-Blood health and damage by 10-15%, I'd increase your gathering to 2 or 3x and increase servants delivery to 2x to help with gathering mats.

That should be pretty good.

Lots of options though.. to tailor the way you want.

I've played about 100 hours in EA, 100% solo. I don't even know that the multiplayer in this game is like aside from watching it on Youtube lol

Excellent experience and scratches that "offline MMO" itch I've had for years.

Don't need to tinker with settings too much imho, but you can sit there and tinker for hours to get things just right.
Typically people suggest increasing the settings which govern resource gathering speed, resource yield, and servant mission reward multiplier. Just QoL stuff.

No need to adjust combat or difficulty modifiers. Game is balanced as is on normal mode.

+1 for very viable. Beat it on default settings, or change whatever you want to make it as difficulty or grindy as you like.

I played through twice as a solo on vanilla settings and loved it. Only things I would consider changing is stuff related to crafting and gathering speed depending on your time and patience, combat was fine as it was for me. A little on the challenging side at times but it felt good to beat

Thanks for your input, seems gathering speed is a solid option to tweak.

Glad to see that solo is a viable option.
Nice to see so many options for customisation too.

Thanks for all your input :)
