Camera Zoom issues during combat while playing via Controller.

Hey everyone, I'm sight impaired so while playing V Rising, I like having the camera zoomed in during combat, exploring etc.

With the 1.0 release, controller support has been released which I've been really excited to use. While using the controller support, you can zoom in the camera for exploring which is great!

However, when you get into combat the camera auto zooms out to it's maximum making it quite difficult to see. Is there a way to turn off the auto zoom? So I can still fight in combat with the camera zoomed in?

I know you can do it with KB/M but I've struggled to find out how to do it while playing with the controller. Thanks!

I’m wondering the same thing! I hate that it zooms out when I enter combat

Yup, I also have this problem. My guess was that it's a bug. I do hope they fix it soon.

I get motion sick when it pops back out! Zoom with mouse is great so I hope they match it. I can't play until they do.

About 30 hours in and yes, improved zoom for controller fixing the problem you describe is my only real wish; )

It's not just during combat. When I zoom in and interact with something, e.g a chest, a smelter or whatever, the camera zooms out completely.

I think this topic belongs to technical discussions, must be a bug.

Was this ever solved? Same issue on ps4, however if hold down L2 it doesn't zoom out. But pretty impractical to have to hold down the entire time

Nope, never solved. Ended up using a Camera mod to fix this.

Bumping this - just got it for ps5 after playing on PC and my god does the auto zoom out feel horrible

How is this still not fixed?? Come on devs this is ridiculous after so many months and still no fix.
