They've removed so you can't disable the blood pool draining now?

Hey there, you can still change it. Just edit the Player-server File. ^^
C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising
If this alone does not work for you, also change the following file:
C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\--stupid long number--\v3\--here comes another long number--\ServerGameSettings.json

Thats dumb, why did they remove this? it was one of the best setting for Soloplayers. Now i need to change Files for this to work again -.-
Mightylink May 8, 2024 @ 6:32am
What the heck, there was no reason to have this in solo mode... now you gotta mod the game to remove it.

If it's not in the cloudsavefile, you just need to add the line into it. :)
For me, it works like it did before 1.0.
There are some settings which where available before 1.0 which are no longer available but a lot of stuff not mentioned ingame is editible via the files. ^^

I was wondering what happened to player blood drain setting ... :(
skydiver144 May 8, 2024 @ 8:16am
I just started, saw a cosmetic dlc way overpriced and now i see you cant change blooddrain anymore.
Damn i was hyped for 1.0 since they said it comes and now i start to lose my interest already.

So all enemy unit settings are missing.
All Garlic settings are missing
All Blood settings are missing
All Silver Settings are missing
All Research settings are missing
All Vampiric Stats Settings are missing

All of these CAN be adjust via the config file but you would need a copy of the old config file to copy the settings over from; and some things like the research settings don't work as they changed the value of the unlock codes for each tier so you can't just copy and paste it.

From what I can tell, these settings have been removed and added into the game difficulty you pick, Relaxed Normal or Brutal, with no way to change them directly in game.
There's a file for "difficulty preset" which the game pulls from for the three difficulties, which includes the missing settings.

Yeah they removed alot of settings.

Luckily the serversettings still work, just make sure you use the one in the v3 folder, not the v2 folder.

I managed to make blood not drain, sunlight goes easier on me, a alittle more materials gained, and silver doesnt hurt me.

So it works.

Setting the Blood drain via the files definitely still works, just tried it.
VERY IMPORTANT though is what was mentioned about the cloud save file location and that you have to add the setting in case it's missing from the file. Otherwise it will be overwritten and not work.

Walkthrough:

1. Go to: C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising

2. Open the "Player-server" file - there should be a setting called "BloodDrainModifier" - the lower it is the slower the blood drains - set it to your preferred setting (default = 1.0)

3. Go to: C:\Users\USER\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves\--stupid long number--\v3\--here comes another long number--\

4. Open ServerGameSettings.json with the Editor

5. look for the "BloodDrainModifier" setting
5.a. if you can find it, change it the same way to your preferred setting
5.b. if you can't find it, search for "ClanSize" and directly after that just add the following: "BloodDrainModifier": 0.0,

Don't forget to save! After that it should work as intended.

Thanks so much for providing the file locations, helped me a lot! :3

Wish you all fun in the game! :D
Is there a limit in the ServerGameSettings? I use this

"InventoryStacksModifier": 10.0,
"DropTableModifier_General": 10.0,
"DropTableModifier_Missions": 3.0,
"MaterialYieldModifier_Global": 10.0,
"BloodEssenceYieldModifier": 10.0,

But I only get the 3x still

I set this to 0 and blood still drains.
With the most recent update the folder is up to v4. I pulled up the .json from my v3 directory and got the blood drain value, copied and pasted it into the .json for v4 and set it to 0.0. I have no blood drain, though I lost 1.0 from my pool when I died. Still better than losing half at a time, I guess.
