Advanced Settings
I am curious what I am doing wrong here, I cannot seem to get my advanced settings to work on a private game. It says the ruleset is selected, all the settings are listed as I have changed them but they difficulty is not what I set. Am I missing a step ?

If you're making a private server after you make your game, you can go back to the main menu; hit load game, select your private server, then hit edit settings in the bottom right to make sure the settings are applied.
If it's applied it will reflect there, if not, you will have to reapply them there.
Make sure you've hit save in the bottom corner on the settings screen as well.
If the save button doesn't light up, change a single setting and hit save to make sure everything is applied.

You have to reconfigure and save a new configuration. The old ones aren't working.

Yeah, that's what I did, and have done several times. Only tried an old one once just to see if it made a diff, but all configs I have been using today are brand new

All working as intended on my end.
Steps I did as precaution.

Move all files from C:\Users\User\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios
Disable cloud saves
Updated the game
Verified files
Start game and accept terms conditions.
Exit game
Re-enable Cloud saves thus overwriting them because of newer local data
Start game
Create new game profile
Save profile
Launch

Same.

We can create a ruleset but we can't associate it to our game (single player).

Even from the menu, there is no way to save the association of the ruleset to the game, the "save" button is grayed out. Either is bugged, or it is incredibly unintuitive and I can't figure out how to make it work in 1.0.

Yes it does, but no matter what I do, The game stays the same.

Yes loading and creating a Rule set requires you to change a single setting and hit save in the corner; for some reason it doesn't apply by default when selecting it. It's EXTREMELY unintuitive.
If you edit the setting manually instead of loading a Ruleset, it works 100% though.

That means the settings are applied; are you speaking in terms of the starting gear settings or something else not apply?

It was sun light and a few other things, but I did do a reinstall, messed a bit more with the save and It might have worked. At least, the sun light is what I expected. I am hoping I have it, but guess we will see
I am curious as to how beneficial and to whom these new settings are that no longer let me reduce boss health without also reducing their damage output.

A few of the time based settings currently don't work. Not sure what you mean by sunlight though.

Castle Essence Drain doesn't work at all atm, it shows like it does, but doesn't actually work.
and how long the day lasts doesn't seem to work..correctly..it changes the amount of time in the day but not by the amounts it says in the settings menu.

My guess is this is all because they still haven't updated any presets, all listed as 2022, They removed settings and changed things, so the only way to do it is manually, which is quite disappointing with the whole v1.0 having rulesets broken especially for new players.
