having to permanently hold LT on a controller?

what genious thought having to hold a trigger down for camera movement was a good idea? the right stick should do that without having to hold any trigger. Please add an option in the options to reverse the role that LT on a controller does and let the camera rotate without the need of holding any buttons. I dont want the cursor being the primary use on right stick. Thats an aweful use for that and not fun to be forced to use. Its obvious the devs dont play with controllers.
Having to hold left stick for every combat engagement is horrible. change it immediately for controller users or least have the option.

I think the problem is that Steam is emulating your controller as a keyboard. Can you see the interface with the controller buttons? At least that's how it happened to me. You have to go to the controller settings in steam, and disable steam input for v rising. With this the game will recognize your controller. But as for the camera, you will have to hold down Y, to be able to rotate it. I hope they add more options, like being able to rotate it freely with the stick.

Wait this is actually important, is the controller interface not automatic? Do we each have to disable steam overlay to get the controller HUD to pop up?

No they are very very very wrong and that is not necessary.
Steam input works and the game shows controller button prompts with it enabled.
What is more likely is that them and possibly OP did not have the official config enabled and had some community config or the default template loaded instead.

If you have Steam Input setup properly for your controller, like you should it works, BUT the devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the settings menu and you can't change drop downs on controller. Everything else works and the game shows you the controller layout when you view bindings with Steam Input enabled

I don't have to keep LT on my xbox controller, it's something on your end.

im using ds4 on PC, i have different issue - when i rollin stick its gone mad (if use both same time - its unplayable) and switch between xbox and playstation buttons. Fixed by closing DS4Windows and disable Steam input.

But for now i have only one trouble - i can't sit on horse by holding X :D its strange, i can get in to the coffin by this holding, but horse not. Its like i press X again and again without pause between.
Someone know how to fix?

I'm playing on the dock with an Xbox controller and I can't use my secondary weapon skill or tab left in the menus, every thing else that uses the LT works fine. WTF?!

Hold it down? Don't you hit Y (xbox controller) then tap left or right button? I mean the longest I hold it down is a second or two to align the camera where I want. Not really seeing the issue.

Why should you have to hold or press Y constantly to reset the camera. The camera should follow the direction you are looking. They had better correct this before it goes to consoles because no one will put up with it. This is LAZY programing and a complete after thought.
The problem exists whether you use Steam input or not. I rarely use Steam Input.
