Where's Palestinian localization?
Where's Tibetan localization?
Where's Zimbabwe localization?
You know, alongside the many many other places in the world suffering or having suffered from literal holocausts?
Ukrainian was already in the game, at the expense of those listed by you - I don't know. And I wasn't against adding other localizations, I'm interested in the Ukrainian one after all
Fellow activism hater here, but I don't read this guy's post as political at all. Probably just his native language and is wondering why support was dropped.
OP: unfortunately, I don't have a good answer for you. My only guess is they dropped support as they realized only a small percentage of players were using that language pack and since there is a lot of new story content in 1.0, they had to be more selective in localization as it costs more money to localize to more languages.
That's true.
Indie devs often go through the trouble of adding more languages in if the 1.0 release does well and there seems to be international potential.
According to this apparently that is actually 100% the issue. The Ukrainian localization just isn't finished. It looks like they have been crowdsourcing their Localizations, so if anyone wants to help out; there's the link.
[Edit: Fixed link]
They're working on it. It's at 66% completed for the new build of the game. If you speak Ukrainian they accept crowd sourcing at that link for all the languages listed on that page.
