This broke my heart, I spent an entire evening trying to get this to work in Ubuntu. As far as I know it is still not officially supported and I have not heard any update since last year.

Some folks have gotten this to work in Docker on Linux (having windows run in the Docker Container) but I failed to get it working.

I've been using this one for more than a year. It works pretty well.

Should still get some proper Linux binaries eventually, even if you can make it work now IMO

Any confirmation or denial from the devs on this yet? forgive me for reviving an old thread but I would love to add an additional Ubuntu server VM to my current cluster for this and host my own 24/7 server. I will need to look into how Sir. grraf got his Arch setup to go.

From my brief reading it seems making a symbolic link kind works by directly compiling some things if I understood what I think I understood correctly about those.

I've deployed a fully functioning server using this method. It worked for about a year until the game updated. but after I ran the update it broke the server

I have a friend who uses Linux and he has somehow managed to create a private server for us since this game came out in EA.. so there must be a way. He has made at least 5 or so servers for us for this game specifically.

Yeah, That is what I was thinking too... Going to need to check on Wine and Ubuntu Minimal server install compatibility. Will check back here in about a week and let everyone know how it goes.
