Is mod support broken

I've been trying to get a mod to work but the game will not launch if the mod is enabled. It worked a few months ago. Just curious if mods are broken currently. Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Thanks

I think the servers are/were down for maintenance.. the game is launching to 1.0 in like 2 days (May 8th).. I'd just wait if I were you.. lots of changes coming.

Your best bet with mods is generally asking the specific mod maker (or looking at forum threads, comments, discord, or whatever else the kids are using to communicate these days)

I just had a 3gig update today i'm sure that may have broken some mods with the 1.0 release in a couple days

You can't play Official Servers, but if you are dying to still play, you can join private servers until weds when 1.0 goes live. Everything is wiped on weds with the new patch though, probably just want to wait.
