Why did you time release during Diablo 4 season start?

Like it or not, there is alot of hype in Diablo season 4 because they're changing all the fundamentals. I like V rising but you shouldnt put yourself in a position to compete against giants.
Diablo season 4 starts may 14, your release starts on 8 may. Like come on?

Now seasons usualy last 4 months which is great, most people get bored after a month or 2 which gives your server restart in 6 months a good edge. I'm not doubting your long term position but rather your release... You only get one release 1.0... and you kind amessed it up.

Diablo 4 is a paper weight, why does it matter? D4 could be releasing 5 new expansions tomorrow and it still shouldn't impact a single gamer out there. D4 season 4, when the few remaining people playing finally realize it's not just the loot that sucks.

If it takes you 4 seasons to "a step in the right direction" you've already failed as a developer.

No need to complain about V Risings Release date, If you'd rather play d4, then go play D4. Instead of crying about D4 on a V Rising forum.

I wont look into Season 4. This is a bet you'll lose because not every gamer is a diablo fan boy.

Not liking a game has nothing to do with this. Might want to take your own advice. Get a life.

Unless we talking Diablo/FIFA(what ever the f' its called these days) fans rational thinking isn't exactly common in theyr community(otherwise the wouldn't buy the same regurgitated slop year after year flushing hundreds/thousands of $ each year their progression gets reset)

I would put D4 between poe and last epoch in fun. Last epoch has the least staying power in my opinion. I think people love to hate d4. I am definitely going to play that. the season lasts for like 3 months. there is no rush. You should be able to fit it in.

All of my friends are also playing v rising with me. d4 isn't going anywhere.

The new D4season functions just fix problems, it doesn't actually provide any fun gameplay.

It changes it so now you grind greater rift equivalents again, instead of NM Dungeons. This doesn't push the game forward, it just puts you back to the baseline D3 already set. And it's actually worse than D3; you can basically beat Pit200 like right out the gate, there is no sense of purpose or progression here. Just a mindless grind for grinds sake. No leaderboards AFAIK either (not that it would matter, it would just be who could clear 200 the fastest which is boring af)

Loot is "Fixed" but not exactly great. Have fun grinding the same item over and over and over for RNG-based % rolls in a season-setting where it all gets wiped anyway. This is the epitome of "making content long and grindy for the sake of keeping you in the game as long as possible" without providing any actual fun, sense of purpose or meaningful reward. It's bogus. People will hate this in no time and the new complaining will be around the layered RNG.

None of this makes the game fun. All it does is fix the game from being unplayable trash.

Come back when the expansion drops. Every Diablo game ever has hit its stride with the eventual expansion. I'll give it another go then.

V Rising v1.0 drop is actually adding c-o-n-t-e-n-t. It's night and day. You should be asking Blizzard why they didn't think to delay their season so everyone could enjoy V Rising more first.

I think this thread is a demonstration of the pain of gaming nowadays...so disappointed with these leftover crumbs they keep trying to release as content...this piece of bread is not that stale or moldy! yummy!

Play both. Play V Rising for the next week or longer if you are still having fun, then play Diablo next week, or whenever. Or even play both at the same time. Spend part of your free time on 1 game, then another part on the other. on any given day You can do more than 1 thing if you really want to. You won't get in trouble, promise.

Neither game is going anywhere, and if you already own them both, play them when you want to play them. They don't magically disappear 2 weeks after release, or start of a new season.
