Is this game still pvp focused?
I see 1.0 is soon. I tried this when it came out, and it felt like all the systems were built around pvp servers. Mechanics for defending your base from other players primarily etc. So playing a server with just friends trying to experience PVE felt like we were missing a ton.

Has this been improved? Is the game still built around roaming pvp?

So no, if you join a "roaming pvp" server, you pretty much get what you ask for.
what if it is a pvp game with the option to solo pve play?
devs need to tell what type of game this is..and whats the reason of having pvp and pve if they care more about pve

Because a PVP oriented game wouldnt have this amount of PVE content......oh lord...

People with working brains can do some research by themselves and see REVIEWS or PREVIEWS, before they buy stuff, its REALLY easy to do. The tags are on the storepage, if people are confused, go look it up. If THAT doesnt helpl....god save you later in life when choices matter.

Basicly all videos, especially Force Gaming's video, tells you everything you need know before buying.

just saying even a hardcore pvp game has pve elements.. conan exiles rust new world and so on
that doesnt make the game less of a pvp game or more of a pve game ..

Not a question for me here, but survival games like Rust, DayZ, SCUM, Deadside, EFT, Gray Zone etc. are ALL PvP focused games with PvE mixed in to create certain situations in PvP. And V Rising is VERY similar in that sense. All of these games have semi light survival features compared to PURE PvE survival games, so V Rising fits VERY well into the PvPvE survival bracket. And I believe thats what they aimed for as well, condering how the mechanics work and their previous development history.

Over 100 hours of PvE gameplay with six friends. (You can increase the clan limit in the settings). We thoroughly enjoyed the game, despite the adaptive difficulty settings that made defeating Ungora the Spider Queen almost impossible. 100% enjoyed the game during early access.

I setup a dedicated server for friends, strictly PVE. Each player got 2 castle locations. Honestly, the game was more fun on the social side playing this way.

Just wondering if you have ever played PvP and what you are comparing it to when you say "more fun". More fun compared to what?

Yes, I've played both PvP and PvE modes in various games. When I say that PvE was "more fun" in this context, I'm comparing it to my experiences with PvP. In PvP, the competitive aspect can often lead to a more tense and confrontational atmosphere, which is exciting but can sometimes detract from relaxed, social interactions. In contrast, PvE allows for a more collaborative and stress-free environment where the focus is more on teamwork and enjoying the game together without the pressure of direct competition. This makes it particularly enjoyable for those looking to have a more laid-back gaming experience with friends.

Are your friend's characters/inventory, etc persistent when joining the each time? If I had a private server and wanted to play with the wife, we could do so and pick up where we left off each time?

Each vampire is unique and bound to that server.

Yes, and you do realize that some people want to play with the added suspense and added challenge that other players provide in a pvp setting?

For me that's the reason I play games. If I dont have that, I dont play video games - I watch a TV show or a movie instead.

Horses for courses. People like different things. Doesnt mean one is inherently better than the other. It's all individual preferences.

Something people often seem to forget.
