Yet again, a RPG-lite has better potential than most AAA RPGs
One thing that frustrates me about this game (and quite a few like it) is that it's awesome. Like, really awesome. It's basically "WOW Deathknight: The Game" and I love it. The combat is tight and responsive, the skills all work and are really well balanced, it's got EVERYTHING that it needs to be an absolute titan of an rpg.

But it's not. It's a roguelike with puzzlebosses that totally strip most player agency in terms of builds. And I'm not saying that's bad. It's just infuriating that there are so many games like this with badass concepts and the games that are *supposed* to have all these things totally fall flat.

I would pay top dollar for a slightly re-designed version of this with less souls-like mechanics and slightly more focus on a player-created narrative, and it makes me angry that nobody has made that yet.

this game is 100% NOT a roguelike what are you even talking about.. and souls like? this game is 10x easier than any DS game..

this game is the epitome of perfection.. I have over 650 hours in this game playing with various groups of friends.

I definitely disagree with you there. A select few are harder, but because DS is so much larger, bosses can still be approached in many different ways,. This game is basically a dying simulator until you find one of the only three ways to beat that boss.

But you are right about how good this game is. It just doesn't fit the category I want it to. Which is where I'm upset because the games that do, are nowhere near as good as this.

I agree, you should make a game like this with an RPG setting.

Three ways? On normal basically any build works, and I've read too many stories in this forum how they've oneshotted (i.e. in 1 try) all the bosses, then met Adam and now they're crying.
