you can either scout around for areas without those (and these guys should be on the rarer side) OR if you find a spot you really want but are undergeared to take, you can force npcs of different factions to fight
for example getting a few bandits to chase you and start fighting the forest dweller to take in most of its attacks while you poke it with a stick and finish off the winner
The Treants and Corpse Piles that you get at random locations in the first zone are absolutely an exception to that, and they're annoying as hell.
They are all fairly easy to beat IF you have the time and patience but they are massive bullet sponges if in red compared to your lvl.
I will sometimes kite them and wall them off.. or just build somewhere else till I get a bit stronger.
Or you can cover their spawn area with foundation and eventually they will despawn.
Or you can just build in any other build spot in Farbane, the vast majority of which do not have those higher-level monster spawns.
