the soul shards break to fast

what the title says i don't get always a change to suck rift bosses but when it breaks in this rate i need to be in mortium every day and the whole day with other words i cant do something else

every 1-2 days, one tier II event duration, that is enough. Shards are not for those who just keep them for decoration.

for me its not a decoration but a big help in my fights but when noone can help i dont get the rift done in time

Agreed, it got the point where grinding the Greater Stygian shards was so boring it became redundant so I just did the last three shard bearers over and over again to break up the dull monotony then mod functionality returned as of the 26th of last month and ever since I just installed "ExtraShardLife" which allows me repair soul shard amulets in their respective pedestal (Mind you this requires server ownership).

Hence, I understand how the latter might not be an applicable solution for everyone.

How can you have a soul shard but still not be able to clear rifts?
