What can i do to overcome Vincent The Frostbringer?
Currently seems impossible to avoid his charge bs. Is their a way to negate it or avoid it? I just cant seem to do it. I try to walk around rocks and trees to try to avoid but its just to fast. What are my options to take this bastard down?

dash > counter > axe Q (if you fancy yourself some weapon change here and there)

In Brutal he is very very difficult. So what I did is a bit cheesy but worked. I follow Bane and when they are close (took a bit of time but happened eventually) I provoke Bane and leave the sector. He killed Vince very easily.

This can be a LONG wait, but god is it so effective. Bane handles him in like 10 seconds, usually. Easy peasy.
Funny i got blight archer early cause she clashed with another boss 🤣.

I need to adapt to it but i did try changing to the mace hoping E would stun.

just save your dash/counter for his charges. when he starts doing it put more distance between you so you can more easily avoid them. make use of objects in the environment to block him. pretty much every move in the game is properly telegraphed. you will know when he is about to use it before he does.

Use any counter and a damage skill. Save counter for his icicle throw and then his "i feel a chill" charge. He's pretty easy. If you want it to take longer just use 2 shield/counter and bow.

I second using a big rock. He was a pain in the ass for me to beat too.

There's a number of bosses where simply kiting them around a large bit of undestroyable terrain makes the fight manageable.

IMO the boss balance is absolutely terrible in this game for that exact reason.

It's incredibly fun to learn a boss pattern, its animation tells, etc. and to beat it that way. It's extremely un-satisfying when you continue to die due to poor mechanics or RNG, such as wandering nearby NPCs adding to the fight.

As somebody who really loves being an aggressive melee, it is very frustrating to come up against bosses whose strategy is "literally never be close to them"

And I know that Lore rarely ever informs gameplay, but aren't we supposed to be a Vampire? Everybody treats us like we are the scourge of the night, but a dude keeps his armor in the freezer and suddenly we have to poke at him from afar. At some point, it would be nice to actually BE the monster they tell us we are.

:) this made me laugh so hard, because it reminds me of mortium, everytime i fight near those caged humans, they all totally fine, all those horrors around them, not a care in the world, but OH GOD is that a little vampirelady, AHHHH runnn

*edit* to not go off topic, towards the OP, kiting around rocks, is IMO not recommened, atleast not for a newer player, it teaches bad habits

(by which i am saying if your hardstuck and the boss MUST die by all means rockahead and kite the annoying bugger ;) )

better to start practising early on (like vincent is earlymidgame) to counter, to use i-frames from weapons and so on, cuz come late game your not going to find a giant rock in the middle of the boss area

if you are patient, u can stalk him until he cross path with bane. hit the roaming civ (bane) when they are near each other and run away. but dont run too far and stay near the area since when bane split into multiple roaming individual, they will spawn near you. let them fight each other and finish them off
If you already have the slashers you can just use "E" (Camouflage) during his multi charge move, he cannot target you during stealth.

Otherwise any counter + dash should have enough up time.

You should learn how to dodge his cone frost bolt attack by just side stepping, to ensure you keep the dash ready for the charges.
He's also easily distracted by minions.

Yeah. get ready to feel the same way for almost every boss going forward. I really don't know what this game wants from me when it comes to the bosses. It's like they're tuned for a game that's twice as fast as it actually is. Your dodge and block are both on cooldowns that are nearly ten seconds long and your player character moves so slow that it feels like they're perpetually stuck in quicksand. Super fun when a boss decides to do a move that floods the whole area in attacks for like 10 seconds straight and you're just standing there, all your ♥♥♥♥ on cooldown and moving slower than a double amputee.

I really don't know who designed the bosses in this game but, uh, fire them. Like out of a cannon. Into a brick wall. I'm exaggerating, of course, but I hate going after bosses in this game because I know they're just going to be frustrating. And they ALWAYS are. Literally the only reason to kill any of them is because you MUST if you actually wanna progress in the ♥♥♥♥ that's actually fun.

you know what? for the first time I have to agree. Vincent brutal needs a nerf. your character is already slow. that passive debuff will 100% make sure you get hit. and every hit you're sure to receive around 100 damage. on a 400 hp player.

4 mistakes. that's all you have. on a 3 minute boss fight minimum. when you are slowed af. so far the only way to win this is a near-perfect encounter (night, with a rock to run around, no patrolling enemies nearby and you can read all his moves) or an assist from bane. or if you have a full servant army in your base and you close the door to trap him in your base.
Aetemes 6 JUN 2024 a las 11:25
Is this brutal or not...anyways as many many many have mentioned...hide behind rocks, I personally pick aoe spells to ground target thus always keeping him always out of sight. On brutal he is quite annoying tbh lol like...not only does he have a perma slow...the perma slow aura is a dot it's funny!

The let him fight bane is an option too...but that could take forever to happen I think.
