You will beat him pretty easily once you realize, the only thing you need is one defensive ability like Ward of the damned or blood rite or anything. He is telegraphing his coming charge with a kind of blink.
I loved using Ward of damned because it is summoning skeletons to pull agro. Also you can use corrupted skulls for the same reason. Once agro is off of you, just smash him.
Only thing you need to be cautious about is his frost shield which will freeze you for a very long time allowing him to hit you.
This can be a LONG wait, but god is it so effective. Bane handles him in like 10 seconds, usually. Easy peasy.
I know that "iT wOuLD MAke tHe GaMe TOo eASy" but I really wish that the Minions could come with you in some capacity. Like, if I go through the effort to really kit out a follower, it better do more than just bring in some loot every 18 hours.
I got extremely lucky here with Jade. when she was whooping me so hard I attacked a nearby cloaked NPC hoping for that 1 in a million chance it would be Bane. and yes this was on brutal difficulty.
