Blood Hunger
I feel like of all the abilities in the game, this is one of the most useless. The range on it is so short that you can easily check the blood quality with the mouse long before it will show up, and of course it also prevents you from using other transformations while it's active. Enemies with >90% blood quality also already have a red aura so they're already easy to spot. As such, I would imagine most people never use it.

I feel like what it should probably be changed to do is to instead point you towards the nearest enemy that has >75% blood, similar to the ability to track V Bloods. This would make it quite valuable in trying to find good servants or prisoners. The game tracks the status of all enemies on the overworld at all times so this is completely doable from a technical perspective.

It's good for hunting for high blood percentages very quickly by activating it while riding your horse. You just blow through enemy camps and settlements looking for a sufficiently red number or just keep speeding through if none are to be found.

I guess I didn't consider using it with the horse, but I still think it would be a lot better if it could point you in the direction of good blood quality.

I use it with 100% Mutant blood, It counts as a shapeshift, so it's basically perma 20% move speed (more during blood moon + passives and brews) I'm aware there are other move speed bloods, but I only have to do 1 rift every 2 hours to maintain it, no more drinking random bloods for me.

It should've been a toggleable passive, not a form.

I play on controller and it is somewhat helpful using that input since you can't really hover over enemies as easily. I know it's not the best way to play, but I've gotten use to it.

Still I do agree it's not really that useful of an ability overall.

Yeah, you already see the 90%+ normally already.
Anything lower than that is not really worthy of your time.

because of the way the % numbers pop over mob's heads, it sometimes help you spot enemies hidden by scenery like canopies or around corners.

What if I told you that it also "sorta" shows the % value of V bosses? The brighter their red, the stronger their blood is, and I suppose whatever blood type is assigned to them, they may get bonuses similar to how we do. Just speculating of course, I just remember Wilfred actually being assigned Worker blood type during daytime, and if you drank him during daytime, you got that blood type and percent.

Of all them I use it the 2nd most next to wolf form lol. As others said get on horse and just wander around looking for prisoners

Would be nice if every aimbot rifleman didn't one tap me off the horse.

Along with Blood hunger, it feels like horses (in a private pve server with my friend at least) are just.. borderline useless.

Hunger should be usable within wolf or human form, there is literally no logical reason it shouldn't be. You shouldn't be able to get knocked off a horse after one hit either! Multiple in succession, sure, but one single hit? What am I, a straw doll? I'm a damn vampire.

Honestly, with controller it's super useful. Less useful with mouse, but with controller it's a borderline godsend

Good point!
Been wondering myself about the usability of the skill but didn't consider console / controller players, eh :D

Not sure what you mean by short range. The second an enemy appears on the edge of the screen, it shows their blood quality. And this is with all angles of the camera or point of view. So there is no range limit.
