Increase stack size?

Does anyone know how to increase the stack size on a server that's already running?
I tried altering one of the .json files and set the limit from 1.0 to 5.0 but there's been no change in the game.

You can go into the load menu and select the option to change rule settings. There you can increase it to a maximum of 3.

You need to modify ServerGameSettings.json, look for: InventoryStacksModifier: 1 and change it to 2 or 3 or whatever. I think though it's maxed at 3, you can't change it beyond that. We have ours set to 2, and it works well for us.

Before, it was very painful to play less than 3x storage. Most stack sizes got buffed and the bags also boost inventory space, so 1x works pretty well. Feel free to try 2x or 3x though.

I'm a absolute Loot goblin that picks up pretty much anything i can find, but even after that i get by pretty well on just 2x Stack size. At some point in the game you don't need to pick up everything anymore and most things that have only 1-2 pieces in my inventory (like Paper, Wood, Plant Fiber, low tier stuff like that) just get dropped.

I don't really need wood or stone anymore since i already got several 500 stacks of Stone bricks and Planks, mind you i did turn the building cost down to 0.5 since in the beginning this is super frustrating to get your castle going.

Odds are the restructuring to loot value. 100 bars of Iron go a long way now. To the point where you don't necessarily need a full stack of 500. Even 300 seems overkill on the 3x I've been toying with. This probably leans into how and why storage is the way it is now too. Though I still find it distasteful that workshop storage goes into the same container as forge storage...

it's a shame it's not 3000 for EVERYTHING there it wouldn't have bothered me...

Things line up well honestly. Just enough wool thread and cloth stacked at their rate to make a full stack of carpeting, for example. Though yeah, I can imagine it's an OCD nightmare to see things maxed out at different intervals.
