So if you have 5% life drain, and you hit an enemy for 100 points of damage, you get 5 HP back.
I'm familiar with that. What has me perplexed is actually a spell description. It doesn't seem to have a noticeable effect. Particularly Sanguine coil. it states the following:
Launch a projectile that deals 75% magic damage, drains 30% health, and inflicts leech. Heals allys for 120% and self for 30% of spell power. On testing with a gem that improves the drain effect, it doesn't seem to heal me any extra; nor, does it seem to do any additional damage.
It seems to be a new addition in 1.0, and I'm not certain what it's intent is. Perhaps it is just supposed to be a multiplier on the life steal and they did the math on it wrong? I also thought it may have had something to do with percent hp damage to an enemy. But testing seems indicative it having no effect.
Its very hard to make a popup description to click for clarification.
