Any suggestions on how to deal with Mairwyn ?

My biggest problem is the end when she summons the giant sun in your face that shoots at you and also follows you arround while she heals herself up. And that thing stays around too long that she can summon the smaller fireball that shoots even more.

I usually go wolf form when she spawns the fireballs. Easy peasy.

in her phase 2 where she shields herself, if you put her between you and the fireball, she will eat the fireballs and take damage, including when the big fireball rolls through her. Hope that helps

i never tought of using transformations in a fight. I assumed it would take to much time to be any usefull. I beat here at this time and i think i just got lucky

2 shields are the best safety. easiest way to stay unscathed on either rotating ball shooting small fireballs. also ofc, veil of chaos.

if you wanna do long range magic though, you could try the illusion spear / wolf, aftershock, chaos volley, stuff that takes care of her double quicker.

I find a "caster ranged" build ironically works pretty well against her. I have never experienced actually battling her face to face.

yeah, that just shows how much staying at max range helps in this game against most bosses. It was the same for Cyril on brutal, max range kept almost all his weapons at bay, stay too close and those weapons will delete you, stay at range and you can pick them off one by one.

though on Mairwyn having 1 shield at least helps for those few dangerous circumstances, like phase 2's giant ball of fire. If I remember right, how I beat her was with Wraith Spear and Ward of the Damned.
