Legendary weapons are game-ruining trash.
I'll keep this short. The fact is that with fixed stats and elements you have effectively removed any player agency from the endgame. I don't want to use certain weapons and I don't want to use certain elements. I don't want my abilities to be modified in a specific way that I cannot refuse just because it's the endgame weapon.

Whoever thought these weapons were a good fit for V Rising's endgame should frankly be fired.

They aren't "the best" afaik the are just unique, they aren't stats wise superior to the purple weapons

If you don't like your legendary just keep rolling on purple weapons until you get one you do like, I hate having rng systems like that same with the jewels etc, I would like it if they added a new refinement or crafting facility specifically for rerolling randomized stats on jewels or weapons

I never get why extensive grind exists in games like this one. If this was some type of mmo with a persistent world, meh, maybe but something that get's reset and then you start again... Why?! It should be a legendary item that drops, then you have some type of mod system where you put in it what you want from it.

Yeah, I don't really get what they were going for with this stuff. For this style of game, it's just an annoyance, and feels out of place to me.
Considering that you use the level 20 epic weapon for the vast majority of the second half of the game, getting one that rolled a decent modifier and substats is actually pretty significant over a bad one.

The sword is awesome, but it has condemn, where as with static it would be SO much better.

They are better though? You throwing a tantrum doesn't change reality.
They have guaranteed max rolls for their pre-determined attributes, therefore orange are better than purple. If you don't want the specific attributes that the orange gives, then you hope a purple rolls with what you want instead. You know, like the industry standard of unique/legendary items.

Found the legendary sword, checked it and tossed it in a chest and kept my 30 static whirlwind with crit chance, crit power and weapon skill cooldown instead.

Now on the other hand, I love the bow. Its quite unique since multishot generates focus and then you can do a massive dmg guided arrow with a stun.
Im sad that it lacks an element though since I loved my old one that did weakness, which I paired with Wolf to stack phantasm + some rando heal here and there.

Yeah that's a great answer. I guess I'll just nerf myself because the devs can't be bothered to keep their mechanics consistent.

Up to this point you could find any weapon with any element, and you could essentially "roll" to get the 2-3 attributes that we actually wanted. There is literally no excuse for changing that expectation at the highest tier.
the stat differences between a good purple and a golden weapon aren't that much at all. Just a few % differences. You can comfortably beat anything and everything with a purple weapon

What endgame? Is there any endgame? Game is just Beat Dracula > Start in another srv to do same things again 24/7 > Beat Dracula, and start all over again, or just hit Uninstall button. Maybe pvp is better since you have to raid Castles, but there's absolute nothing to do at PvE srvs after Mr Draculs death.

So.. labouring under the assumption that i did NOT miss anything.

There are two different ancestrals the base-ancestrals-shards that start with level 20 and are upgradable until level 26-epic and the epic-shattered one that you repair to level 30legendary ( only got the crossbow for that one so far )

the epic level 30 are the shards only and they NEED to be repaired for you to be able to use them ( and have always the same modifier according to op ) like you need to repair the level 20 one shards first.

so there is no level 30 epic weapon.. only a level 30 epic unusable shard that becomes legendary when you repair it.
yes you missed alot and are totaly wrong mate, its blue(or called rare)lvl20>23>lvl26 purple(epic) (yes you are right with that) and then you have again purple(epic) but with 4 more levels that means 30 and these are NOT legendary's, not on the broken unusable state or after repair... the legendary's are orange EVEN in the broken unusable shard, its with a orange glow and a specific name as broken shard and repaired.

Yeah, it would be nice if we had the ability to change the flavor stuff on our legendary to fit our build.
In Guild Wars 2, the main appeal of legendary weapons is that you're able to change their stats and passives at will, that's the reward in itself and it would be cool to be able to do something similar here too so that you're not pingeonholed into playing only that one legendary weapon because it's the one that fits your build.
I feel like there should be simply more. It is fun to adjust build a bit to the weapon
Having a fixed weapon for certain builds is great for build crafting. It not like it necessarily better than purples, just different and unique. It only "game ruining trash" if you got no imagination for build making.

Thing is theyr not all equally usefull some make very little sense/utility while others are top notch spot on as all theyr stats are providing amazing synergy with themselves and often times a spell school that enhances hem even further.

A few quick examples of excellent weapons : Mortira's Lament , Hand of winter , Cloud dancers , Thousand storms , Morning star , Red Twins <--alll of these are what you would call flawless weapons not one stat gets wasted on them and each individual stat works nicely in synergy with each other and even lean towards a spell school that is 'tailor made' for them ;
Take the Cloud dancers for instance : extra dash on secondary skill granting extra iframe and more aggressive repositioning options while priming the target with static ; tertiary skill can feed on static to get a storm shield that can also dish static to everyone around you ; then the weapon itself grants spell cooldown(so you can bring in even more storm school spells/ cast self buffs more often) MS&AS that assist with chasing around and propagating chain lightning for even more dmg.

Then we got the 'hall of the lame' collection : Wings of the fallen , Gravecaller , Endbrringers&Oaksong(these two can arguably be considered meh but serviceable) <-- these are a waste of time&resources to shop for and can fairly easily be surpassed by most randomly rolled epic weapon.
