Legendary weapons are game-ruining trash.
I'll keep this short. The fact is that with fixed stats and elements you have effectively removed any player agency from the endgame. I don't want to use certain weapons and I don't want to use certain elements. I don't want my abilities to be modified in a specific way that I cannot refuse just because it's the endgame weapon.

Whoever thought these weapons were a good fit for V Rising's endgame should frankly be fired.

Then don't use it?

It was quite the nuisance to be looking for a level 30 sword with static, only to get the legendary sword that has condemm. It's a good sword, but static whirlwind is just too good for mob clear and boss damage output.
It would be good if there was a way to change it's augment, especially since the augments you want do exist, just on a different weapon. Maybe a transfer mechanic that means you get both and sacrifice one to move the effect over to the other?

Then don't use the legendary one and simply buy another at mortium trader until you land smth you like for instance i don't like the legendary whip since i run more of a spellcaster build so i kept buying until on my 6th try i nailed one that gives smth more suited to my needs (its not perfect but it does the job: high spell cool down+low move speed(meh but decent)+low dmg resistance(even more meh but at least its smth)

Yeah that's a great answer. I guess I'll just nerf myself because the devs can't be bothered to keep their mechanics consistent.

Up to this point you could find any weapon with any element, and you could essentially "roll" to get the 2-3 attributes that we actually wanted. There is literally no excuse for changing that expectation at the highest tier.

Aside from some weapon skill that is too good like Axe, I don't see anything else that absolutely must have for PvP?
Well Legendary reaper sure does break the PvE tho that's for sure lol.

A decently rolls level 30 weapon with your prefer element and stats will do just fine or even better for some build.

While I agree, I get why they'd sooner push the update and make sure everything works than to make artifact weapons for each school right out of the gate. Easier to add those in with a patch later down the road anyways. I'll be hoping for a lightning mace or and unholy bow myself, but I'm sure it may be a bit.

I don't see legendaries as upgrade over epics, but sidegrade. They aren't better, they are just different. They are supposed to fun weapons with different play style than their base weapon

Have i missed something? Last i checked Legendary-Weapons are Level 30, Epic only Level 26 max.. how can they not be a direct and big upgrade in a game where gear-score determines the dmg-relations between you and the enemy you fight?

What? I haven't got any of them yet, but I thought epic ancestrals are level 30. Wiki says they are level 30, is it wrong?

So.. labouring under the assumption that i did NOT miss anything.

There are two different ancestrals the base-ancestrals-shards that start with level 20 and are upgradable until level 26-epic and the epic-shattered one that you repair to level 30legendary ( only got the crossbow for that one so far )

the epic level 30 are the shards only and they NEED to be repaired for you to be able to use them ( and have always the same modifier according to op ) like you need to repair the level 20 one shards first.

so there is no level 30 epic weapon.. only a level 30 epic unusable shard that becomes legendary when you repair it.

No, they are. They're talking about the fully upgraded level 20 version, not the level 30 one that can also be a legendary.

Also OP can kindly GTFO. They are effectively 'unique' weapons, which pretty much always have fixed stats. I'm not wasting even more time grinding one of these stupid legendary weapons because it rolled with junk stats.

No level 30 epics (purple ones) can roll any element and substat like rare (blue ones), they are basicly level 30 version of them. The ones with predetermined effect are legendary (yellow ones) which are also level 30, but their abilities work different than their base weapon ones and they don't have any substats. Epics aren't worse than legendary, if OP wants electric sword he should get epic one its in not worse than legendary "the gravecaller"

I never get why extensive grind exists in games like this one. If this was some type of mmo with a persistent world, meh, maybe but something that get's reset and then you start again... Why?! It should be a legendary item that drops, then you have some type of mod system where you put in it what you want from it.
