But why even grind the end game? What is the reward? If you can grind 20k greater stygians , surely you can beat dracula, you might even have couple of legendary. With the cooldown, it takes so long to wait for rift level 2 to start.
I don't even see the point of passive abilities, I unlocked the tier 1 passives and just gave up on tier 2,3. Even tier 4 jewels need greater stygian shards.
I think devouring tier 4 jewels should give greater shards too.
But tbh, seeing the discussions in the forum, elitists are unfortunately busy crying about how easy 1.0 is while having 1000 hours in the early access version. So maybe write "Adam too easy on brutal" on the title and then write about greater stygian shards there and you might get more response.
Well, I do the grind because I play PvP. In most cases, doing T2 rifts is for the pvp, thats where you mlost consistently find it now - and the stygians are mostlyå a side effect from doing that.
And in the pvp end game, the passives means a lot, atleast a good few of them.
Yes, I have beaten Dracula, yes I have lots of legendaries and all the ancestrals I need, but I think I still have a point. I have like 5 weapon lockers full of purpled shattered pieces that I dont even bother doing anything with as they dont devour into something I need and they’re all crap. And to be honest, the worst thing is out of all those shattered pieces, including some that I use - I havent gotten a single purple legendary that I would say is good…. Imagine that.
As for the T4 jewels, I guess I agree - but for example you have never receivere dark silver from devouring T3 jewels, so I guess considering that it makes more sense. They are also relatively inexpensive, while shattered pieces are very expensive at 1500 stygians.
I actually mention this in my post, saying the same thing. Its likely an oversight left over from gloomrot, and either they have forgotten it or just figured theyd leave it as is anyway. Which to me makes no sense. Hopefully they’ll do something about it, because devouring them and getting stuff you dont need instead of greater stygians doesnt make sense or feel great.
I just wonder if you actually read my post 😜
Im not sure if youre commenting on my post or someone elses.
Yeah, thats correct, however, the materials we now get are some of the same as the ones you used to craft onyxes to purchase legendaries back in gloomrot update.
Now, those materials arent involved in aquiring shattered legendaries, instead you use those to craft them. Then it would make more sense to recieve stygians when devouring a shattered purple, while you get onyx materials for devouring a made legendary or ancestral weapon.
Not to mentioned how this would male the grind less painful than it currently is. Nothing worse than buying lots of shattered weapons, get nothing good and you cant get anything useful in return. This was great in gloom because atleast of you bought 20-40 legendaries - if you didnt get anything usable, you atleast got something back. Now its pretty crap tbh.
And I think it might just be something they missed. Unfortunately doesnt seem like the devs bother with this forum so probably not much that’ll be done…. Or nothing at all really….
