The game has an end point where you finish the content and either farm up additional gear (for the lulz) or do creative.
If you're on a PvP server, then you're either interested in balanced PvP and don't need this stuff, or you just want additional ♥♥♥♥ to give you an advantage over your opponents because you don't want a fair fight.
If they're going to work on anything, it should either be more cosmetic/decorative stuff, or actual content to extend the game, nor just superfluous junk.
He's a PvE player and wants more things to do once you've beaten all the bosses and got everything there is to be built.
Between the two of us, the one who didn't get it is clearly you.
For one thing, OP didn't specify PvE or PvP (though the "someone's castles" part suggests the latter).
And the requests weren't for content to do at endgame, it was a request for things to grind.
I don't disagree, extra stuff in the way of traps for your castle is not a bad idea. Hell, it even works in the context of PvE as a thematic addition for creative builds.
It's also absolutely nothing to do with your OP, or the subject of endgame grind.
This statement still stands. We don't need pointless grind. The Greater Shards/Legendary Weapons are bad enough.
End game.
Pretty straight forward.
I enjoyed my play through multiple times.
