The biggest crafting sink is the first hour or two when you have to go through the tutorial steps of setting up your stations and using wooden palisades until the game unlocks the real castle pieces for you. After that it's mostly killing bosses and tinkering with your castle when you're bored.
It's also worth noting that unlike most survival crafting games, you can dismantle any of your buildings for a 100% cost return and many of them can be moved around freely. So you can make a jumble and if it bothers you later, just move it around.
i see! i guess i will just need to sit down and grind it! looks like theres alot of folks enjoying the game so there must be some light at the end of the tunnel
