Man, I really want a third spell slot.
Having 36 different spells (excluding ultimates ofc) and only two slots to use 'em in.. I'd love a third slot for a normal spell.

You can technically unlock an additional two slots via "Bloodcraft - Leveling & expertise mod" that is with the caveat of playing "unarmed" & raising your skill with just your claws.

Others here spoke of balancing, well if you want an additional two spells slots fighting with no equipped weapons seems like a fair compromise.

A vampire mage build/class? Then perhaps it would be far nicer if they introduced a magic staff/wand/rod weapon. Anyone can drop them a message on discord about more spell slots?

no thanks, it's good you have to make choices and come with a build (synergy). You can swap builds out of combat. For fun, practice or counter play.
I mean, for PvE it would be cool but the PvP side already have massive balance issues with skills (most of them being useless) so adding an extra slot would just lmao, enforce more the current obnoxious meta.

Until we get official developer tools with an ability for adding & replacing actual unity assets what you propose doesn't seem to be a reality, at the moment all modifications are combinations of scripting and re-purposing of existing game assets or unused assets.

With the current build of Bloodcraft you have spell-casting which scales with expertise & blood/weapon type mastery along with applicable stats you can choose to make either fighting with claws more viable or just make you a better mage-caster since there are classes you can pick from as well in my case "DeathMage" which also now includes on hit spell VFX to weapons & character depending upon your chosen class.

Along with this is a prestige spell slot which is triggered from a hidden UI slot by pressing the shift key so technically it is +3 additional spells along with the 2 unlocked by unarmed expertise. Oh and there are Familiars as well but that is tangential to the OP so I will refrain.

It just feels really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid having so many spell schools and so many options overall to use, and then being forced into using two and one ultimate spell. Why even have so many kinds of magic if we're going to get limited like this?

I feel you, kind of like "look but don't touch" whilst in a candy-store considering Vampire canon with the black arts - necromancy & sanguimancy etc.

Same thing with weapons really. You can simultaneously carry about 7 or more weapon types. You can switch between them quickly, but they have shared cooldowns...

So what's the point in having a crossbow and a longbow? Honestly they seem pretty equivalent except the crossbow's Q ability sucks.

what a sight to behold when pve brains realise it makes sense to use 8 weapons even though they share cooldowns.
