Also note. There are a couple biome areas you can go to during the day and play normally, mid to late game anyway. Many bosses also have completely sheltered areas to engage at any time you wish.
Same. I wouldn't say that its exactly fun hiding in the shade when it comes up--but a lot of that comes down to planning and keeping open to multitasking. There's nowhere you cant still move around if you're good at dodging and dashing through the mobs and sunny parts.
If you keep finding yourself busy in the sun you just need to step back and pre-plan your route/to-do list... There are bajillions of cases where i set out to do X, get sidetracked doing ABC and DEF and THEN remember i was trying to do X just as the sun came up.... but that's on me the player not the daylight cycle.
That said-- the daylight cycle is adjustable i wouldn't turn it off; aesthetically things look better in the sun usually--but if you're on a solo server you do you; or find a server with shorter sun ratios, or longer days in general--though unless they adjust the ratio too it could mean longer waits.
Though I think that the sun resistance potions should be stronger.
There's your problem. Sitting around instead of finding a solution. There's nothing hard about fighting in broad daylight, this game gives you PLENTY of shade to make fighting, traveling, Harvesting, exploring, anything possible.
Seeing people say things like this reminds me of how other players shove their hands under their ass and wait for the night to pass in other games like Don't Starve and Terraria because they're too terrified of the night, except now it's the opposite in this game.
Agreed, I feel torqueblue puts it very apt with the Terraria comparison, but unlike Terraria you can at least see what you are doing from the start, and there is no time limit on bosses just arena limits.
The day/night system are only as annoying as it has to be in order to get that vampire flavor. Otherwise would we just play as an albino with murderous attitude problems.
South of Cursed forest. I don't want to spoil the name just in case.
as most said, sit i a bush/under a tree/inside building/rolepaly vampire.
but that's it, and since most of the time the player is either engaging a V-blood rather than naything else, well, easy to say, it's more of a chore than anything.
A timer so generous I never noticed it.
