Is online mode any good?

I was thinking about buying that game. I saw that you could play coop and pvp too which I love to do in every game. But I saw somebody say that it was unplayable for new players online cause the more advanced ones would kill them easy and it took all the fun away. What do you guys think?

PvP is basically the wild west on the public servers. There are no checks against high level players preying on newbies, save for a very brief pvp immunity timer when starting out. Experiences will vary by server, but it's something to watch for.

It's better on a private server with friends unless you like that kind of unforgiving gameplay.
Personally I wouldn't play it on an offical online server, especially because you lose everything every couple of months.

Thank you for these answers. Another question though, I saw you have different servers. Does it mean you need to restart a new character and castle for each server or you can move from one server to another and keep your save?

Yeah, you can't move anything from one server to the other so, if you play on one of the official PvP servers, every 3 months, when the wipe occurs, you'll have to start from scratches. The 3 possible options if you don't want to lose your progress are to either play in a private, solo world (on which time doesnt pass unless you're playing), host your own server with your own rules or play on an unofficial server with custom rules, such as the absence of wipes.
