Solarus the Immaculate is Unfair
He can hit you with invisible damage with his spinning swords attack on Brutal.

Zero visual indication as to what hits you, it just happens.

Yes brutal programming on the developers part to have attacks that have zero visual indication as to what is hitting you.

Yea something is definitely up with the spinning sword attack. No idea what is going on. Just getting hit randomly for a chunk of damage.

edit: Also the angel can shoot projectiles at you which ignores shield spells. Makes zero sense.

Watch a few youtube vids, that should help. I particularly recommend any no-hit vids you can find; there's one guy who made an almost-no-hit run and it's a joy to watch.

Would you rather SLS nerf Solarus again like he was in the 2023 Gloomrot branch?

SLS even nerfed all the V Bloods again as of the the most recent patch yesterday due to mass complaints over V Blood difficulty, these special attacks have a large area of sweeping damage just before he queues his special attack he makes a poise you best give him a wide berth same goes for his divine angel - these special brutal moves can be challenging only just the 1st three instances yet once you're able to eyeball the tactics they are 100% perfectly avoidable & you'll find insofar to the shard bearers Solarus is still the easiest.

Anyways, I still have Adam and Dracula to kill. Let's see how it goes!

I agree to disagree any who I always forget about The Winged Horror being a shard bearer considering he has been irrelevant since Alpha in terms of difficulty, I was meaning specifically Adam & Dracula in any which case good luck.

I've had some issues with disappearing projectiles as well in several fights. Seems to be bugged.
The beams in the adam fight were invisible sometimes as well....

Useless when you are dealing with damage that has zero visual indicators as to what or how you are taking said damage.

Something janky is going on with hitboxes of attacks or projectiles being invisible. Taking a break from this boss for a bit as it's too annoying getting damage from unknown sources.

Unfair? Make it Fair. I suggest Frost Shield. Gemmed or not it Ruins His and the DIVINE Angel's Bullet Heaven abilities.....see what I did there? Usually it's Bullet HELL, but I said Heaven...Eh?EH? Cleaver Right? /waggleEyebrows.

Seriously Frost Shield Does hard counter the heaven out of his attacks, Other shields too.

Huuu wha? Whenever A projectile gets absorbed there should be a burst of ice the hits him. Even still, there should be a number you can glance at too see if it is working. A coat of frost should be applied to him if he is taking damage.

Sometimes the spinning swords themselves have waaay to big of hit boxes when I get hit but they are clearly not hitting me.

Also the Angel single projectile attacks go through shields.

Made artificially difficult by breaking the rules you've become accustomed to. Not your fault but the devs.

Ofc they can be beaten, I just say someone do it in under 2 or 3 mins. Could I have done that without seeing the video? Probably not, because like you I'm seeing the boss 'cheat' mechanics just to get damage on you.

I play co-op, and this was the last boss we did before we took a break. We don't mind things being difficult, but this was the first boss where we thought it wasn't playing by the rules.

His Swings have a WIDE back swing. Other bosses have this. Can't say that's an issue on my end, I just figure He's doing a big wind up of an attack.

Yes, those sawblades do have a big AOE hit, other things that have a Red circle extend out past it. Like a second shockwave, something I'm not too keen on.

Not all abilities from NPCs an be blocked, countered. You'll have to either side step or Travel/Dash Through or away.
