Help i suck and struggling to beat Polora.
I don't know what it is about those projectiles but they move so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funky they get me a lot if i get close. I'm 35 gear level. I can beat her but the summon pixies become way to much of a nuisance to someone who i less than on par with average skill. Ive had to run away multiple times cause the pixies just cause to much of a distraction for her to get the wolf spell out which ♥♥♥♥♥ me up and heals the pixies. Should i just hone my skill or look for a better weapon? I use the spear is that fault of my struggles? Thanks in advance guess i got a huge skill ladder to climb lmao 🤣

What I do with Palora, there's a big rock that you can run circles around in that area, just keep next to that rock and making her lose vision of you, this forces her to keep coming to you, instead of you chasing her, cause she will keep going invis to gain distance away from you, that makes her projectiles more frustrating in an open area.

So she shows up next to you around the rock...land a few hits, if she goes too far don't chase her just stay hugging the rock.

Being next to the rock also helps eat her projectiles.

Try to kill the adds as they show up if you can to reduce the amount of random projectiles coming at you, if they are close by, but also don't go too far from that rock.

I will attempt that. Thank you for the tip. It is appreciated.

Rocks are your best Friend in this game it helps you deal with most "outside" bosses.

Physical obstructions are your only real strat versus super attacks like large aoe dashes that fire projectiles that last longer than all of your damage blocking options without resorting to cheese (which they were supposedly trying to reduce reliance on). That being said, this fight is pretty simple if you spam your own projectiles back at her, because she frequently has to stand still to attack you and her aim tracking isn't that good (compared to aimbotting vampire hunters and other archers). I don't remember if you can unlock corrupted skulls at this point but it would also be a good distraction. You mainly want to make sure her projectiles (esp the wolf) miss you so that they don't end up healing her or her adds.

You should only really be running into issues on normal if you have a lower gearscore or not that good blood grade.

Still can't do it. My weapons arent killing the pixies fast enough so shes able to get to me and continously heal them. I do the rock thing, the pixies are still trouble for me. What can i do to increase damage against these pests? Cause they are the main issue. The boss its self i can beat its just them which take way to many hits to kill.

Okay, tldr:

You should have unlocked at a curse spell tier 1 at this point. Using either the shield (good for blocking shots) or the skulls (dps plus skeleton adds) will split aggro so that you won't have to focus as much.

You should have also unlocked a couple chaos tier 1 spells, which you can use to gain some good dps projectiles. The shockwave in particular can hit both her and the add, or you can use the fireballs for more single target damage.

Lastly, you have both longbows and crossbows at your disposal. I found myself favoring longbows, but if the focus firing is too tricky for you, crossbows are fine too.

With an equal or higher gearscore (and most likely the gravedigger ring), this should be enough dps to kill adds. If this isn't enough, go kill Nicholaus first, unlock the spider ult, that will give you a bunch of burst damage that will make the fight shorter. Remember, if the projectiles hit you or the add, it will get healed.

You may also have found or purchased gear upgrade books which can help a bunch, esp the upgraded rings.
