the game is toooo difficult
The first and second acts were quite accessible to me but act 3 is practically impossible, I only play pve in a private server and I modified some settings in my game but I would hate to touch my damage or health because I wanted to enjoy the game in its original state but It's really impossible, I use potions etc etc but still, I thought I was the only one so I started reading in some reddit forums that there are people who complain about the same thing and they have been playing since the game "came out" on Steam So I don't know, there come moments where it's pure frustration and when my frustration is higher than the enjoyment I have in the game and it's something that doesn't fit.
Maybe you recommend I raise my damage in the settings? i dont wanna do it in God mode but at least something more equitable with the bosses because I feel that they are OP

I'd recommend giving it more attempts. Pretty much every move can be avoided or negated in some way, so a deeper knowledge of the fight can go a long way.

Aside from that, you can try to improve your gear if possible. You could also try different approaches like going with a strong focus on ranged weapons and spells, or something more brawly to stay in close, or using more defensive spells or abilities that heal you so you can win a battle of attrition.

I'm near the end of Act 2 and had to take a break. Every boss summons mobs and my DPS and AOE spells are practically useless. I'm a lv 60 taking on lv 60 and 62 bosses and getting stomped. I wonder if this was more balanced for multiplayer.

It's balanced for both. Basically any problem you have solo will be multiplied in multiplayer. The amount of adds spawned and boss health goes up with player count.

Multiplayer can be easier with players able to bring more spells into the fight, like having one of you focus on healing spells while the other tanks with multiple ward spells. Then there's the option of having one run away while the other chugs potions.

Still, everything can be solo'd. I've done it myself, twice. Once at release, and again in Gloomrot. And there's a guy out there that posts many videos of them beating the bosses, usually under-geared, frailed blood, and taking no damage, further proving that success is firmly in the player's hands.

Game is easy, bosses are usually easy to cheese, watch youtube for their mechanics and you might beat them without getting a hit.

Keep trying ( the base game is not hard, but still requires the player to play ).
Eventually, try to get a higher level tier ( there's no forced order for bosses ), or ask some other player to help.

You just have to learn the boss patterns. It is a skill up game, the more you play, the better you (hopefully) become at it.

Its because you havent figured out to use the tools the game gives u well, but ofc also general skill is relevant.

It mostly comes down to horrible usage of weapons and bad choice of spells.

Just by learning and understanding some stuff the game can become quite easy.

Some games you just gotta get some practice in and review your own strategy.

There's also a lot of players who think base settings are too easy and they bump everything up a little.

I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but just lower the settings a little. You can always raise them back up as you improve. No shame in using the tools provided for you. Your ego is your worst enemy sometimes.

Thanks, in fact I did that and now despite doing a little more damage it is still difficult and I keep dying but I was able to advance to level 71, from level 30 to 71 in just 2 days it was quite good, now I am enjoying it much more

In my experience, prior to Gloomrot, I went to bosses, died once cuz I had no idea what they would do, then I killed them. Most times I just ran away after learning a few things, their attacks were well telegraphed and easy to spot, beating a new boss didn't take long.

Then came Gloomrot, enemies attack really fast, there's very little telegraphing on some pre-finisher moves that can stun you, and the attack patterns need to be learned like you're fighting a Dark Souls boss. The big dude with the chaos cannon was my worst nightmare, I died to him so many times, then I learnt his moveset and still clenched my cheeks when he got close to me. The Gloomrot bosses are definitely harder than the ones we're used to. They've got a very steep learning curve compared to the others.

Their damage isn't too crazy, but I went for the Engineer boss with the flamethrower, slooooowly chunked me down until I couldn't really heal anymore, died like that a few times. Takes longer to learn them, but once you do, is a cakewalk.

Umm while there are plenty of ways(builds) to play and progress some tend to be easier to do so ill chip in and list two of them that for me felt the strongest(as in easy to sustain):

1)rogue blood+pistols+spellweaver amulet+chaos volley&spectral wolf(with life leech gem)
Just keep your distance and keep doing consistent damage the enemy dies before you do...

2)brute blood+axes/greatsword+spellweaver(later on wicked prophet)+polarity shift(with gem that give aoe&static on arrival+charges primary attack dmg)&sanguine coil(gem with extra charge&bounce back)
Jump in&out of melee range with polarity shift's 'teleport to boss' ability stack some hefty damage then get out of dodge to unload your sanguine coils this pretty much guarantees you hit fast&hard while every attack you make will life leach about as much damage as you have taken...

As for what kind of travel skill to use that is up to you but i'm personally a big fan of veil of storm(with a zapping illusion gem) due to it also temporarily boosting your movement speed&damage dishing potential.
Perhaps the spells you are using aren't good enough for those bosses? Look up guides on the bosses, people will tell you what builds they used to defeat the bosses or look up spell combinations that people use.

Get better gems equipped. I have one that allows my Spectral Wolf to heal me and it produces a wisp that also heals me.

Also blood type can also help you out greatly. Scholar blood tends to be very good with those that like to use spells (which I like doing).

I've soloed a bunch of the Act 3 bosses, some are easier than others.
If you can, try to get some higher gearscore. I noticed that fights get easier even if you're a bit higher scored than the level of the boss (They seem to do less damage to you and suffer more damage)^^ If the boss spawns lots of adds, I like to use AOEs that pass through adds or do targeted AOEs and just try to avoid the rest.

I think that the difficulty is in a pretty good spot right now, i beat everything solo, almost all the gloomrot bosses 1st try without even knowing what they do.
There is a few bosses that a little bit harder than the others, but in general, with good preparation and gear, they all very fair and definitely not op.
If it's too difficult then lower the difficulty.
