Version 1.0
When? I kinda forgot about this game when the devs really managed to piss me ♥♥♥♥ off with calling new content an "Expansion". It's EA, ffs. Are you out of your mind?

Been a few years now, so I gotta admit I'm looking forward to the final release if it ever gets to that point.

The next major update is the 1.0 release, and is expected in Q2 this year.

May/April, somewhere in there is my guess. Im gonna hold off playing because i only do PVE and building a castle right now and progressing is a waste of time as it will all get deleted at 1.0

May 8, just announced, also are you really complaining about these FREE big updates on an already cool game? Sad dude.

I bought the EA fully expecting "free big updates". That's what EA means; I pay for a complete product that's at the time of buying still incomplete. For them to promote the continued development of an incomplete game as "free expansions" is just dumb.

Two questions, and three points.

First, where do you see them calling it an expansion? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I've gone back to look at the dev blogs and postings and they tend to call them "updates". So If the word expansion is what's getting on your nerves then I'm not sure where your seeing that word pop up.

Second, even if they were calling it a "free expansion", so what? Technically the updates have been free, and have expanded the world of V Rising. Gloomrot added an entirely new region which literally expanded the world; the 1.0 launch is set to do the same. Thus the term "expansion" is applicable here, and early access or not, they've never brought up charging anyone for them, so they do qualify as "free expansions".

Third, and more a point at your original post. You say;

The game isn't even two years old. It launched into early access on May 17th, 2022. Also, saying "if it ever gets to that point" implies there's a chance it wont. At the time of you posting this On May 9th, 2024 they 1.0 update had already been announced for Q2.

Honestly, it comes off like you just don't know what you're talking about in general with regards to this game. Also, that you got bent out of shape about the possible use of a phrase, one which you don't seem to have ever stooped and considered the meaning of, and whether or not that meaning might actually apply to the major content updates this game is and has provided.

Your sense of entitlement and delusion is astounding. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EA... and they are releasing a completely finished product in 2 years.. that is 10x better than most companies.. you ever play 7D2D? I think I waited 16 years for that game to release.. grow up.

Anger is a big obstacle to reason. If you read my comments thoroughly, you'll realize that I was simply annoyed that put a focus on the word "FREE" when they were updating their EA game with new content. "FREE" in this case is a given, because it's EA, so it's a cheap PR stunt. That's it. That's all.

Because of the above, I decided to forget about the game for awhile but now I'm interested again. That's it.
That's all.
