Can you stop game time progressing when not playing?

I tried this game about a year ago and absolutely loved it, however I didn't stick around and keep playing because the game world kept progressing whenever I quit the game (and I lost blood or whatever resource it was, causing my character to die when I logged back in a week or so later).

I was just wondering if this "feature" is still in the game, or is it possible to now turn it off and play solo, without any risk to my character when I quit the game?

You could always play solo without time passing by making a private server.

Does this actually do something? I've just started playing and have been logging out in the coffin cause I thought it was a neat way to log in/out and not wanting to get caught in the sun, didn't think it actually benefited me.

Do you play ironman or what ? what the problem about dying ? You just respawn and continue playing.

I ended up testing this and that's how it works it seems :D going afk for a bit, coffin time, logging out, coffin time.

FYI this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore. I've never encountered my character being dead when I log back in after a day or so. (Posting now because this result came up high in the search engines lol.)

I will say, my BUFFS run out... It seems?
