We're very sorry to hear you've encountered issues with your saves no longer being compatible with the current version of the game. But there is no need to worry, they are not lost forever. You can still play on your old saves by switching to the previous version of V Rising. However, this unfortunately means you won't be able to access the new content from the patch.
To play on a save created before the patch:
1. Right-click V Rising in your Steam library
2. Select Properties > Betas
3. In the [Beta participation] dropdown menu, choose the legacy-0.5.x branch
4. Update V Rising and you should be able to play as usual!
To return to the newest version, follow the same steps and choose [None] In the [Beta participation] dropdown menu. I hope that clears it up!
Nice one! Did not think of that!
Thank you and yes I understand game have to progress.
Cheers!
