FUTURE OF V RISING - QUESTIONS TO THE DEVS
I have some questions about V Rising future to the devs since I've read the new patchnote.
Maybe they read this, maybe not, in both of that cases I would like to share my thoughts and see what other players think about it.
English isn't my first language, so keep it in mind and forgive me for some grammar mistakes and other things

With the new information that came to us through the lastest patchnote, the final vampire challenge is coming, finishing the complete vampire experience.

But what exactly does that means?

The patchnote says that the game will not be abandonned, they're not gonna stop creating new things to V Rising, but I wonder what things are these.

They intend to release just cosmetic items, new events and small things after the next major update, or big things are still running through developers minds?
Are we getting new areas, new bosses, new mechanics, new lore and awesome features after the next update, or just small things like I said?

What are you Devs planning to future of V Rising?
What does exactly means "finishing the complete vampire experience"?
Is there a new game from the team getting out of paper affecting V Rising? Because you guys created a huge universe, with so many possibilities to explore. With this in mind, I don't understand finishing a experience so early like this, since are still so many things to create in the game.

Maybe I'm rushing things a little bit asking these questions, since I don't know anything about the development process of the game. I'm just a player, but a player who loves V Rising and would like to still see a great game in the future.

The future of V Rising. Big questions.

In Dev Update 21 (https://blog.stunlock.com/dev-update-21-the-next-chapter), we got a little bit into this, and I assume that’s what you’re referencing with the ‘patchnote’ thing. Sorry if there’s any confusion on that, I understand English isn’t your first language, and for the most part, I think you got your points across very well!

We do intend to continue development on V Rising past the 1.0 release, which will include the completion of the game as a single package. That means you’ll have a start and end to your journey, and we intend that you have a satisfying experience that provides the needed closure. Reyson Fox kind of has the idea. (No Steam Deck news just yet, sorry, Reyson.) Beyond that, we’ll have at least one more major update after release as we wrote partway through Dev Update 18 (https://blog.stunlock.com/dev-update-18-secrets-of-gloomrot).

As for the deep-cut specifics of what we mean by that, it’s a little too early to share right now, but I hope you keep in touch with upcoming Dev Updates where we’ll be sharing more information leading up to release.

Oh, and uh, no plans for a battlepass.

Keep Bitin’, my Vamps.

You wait for new dev blogs to answer your questions.

What I want to know if their is going to be some kind of endgame campaign/story line where the game gives us closure but still able to continue to build and be creative. And also when is Steam Deck going to be verified (green) ?

I mean, by looking just at the pace, you kinda know what to expect. Since very alpha, every big update was 9/10. The game is alive and on the top 10 for few weeks after the patch, and then it's almost dead (just like it is right now with next to no players) for remaining time to the next update.

The next update is scheduled for 2024. It will probably revive the game and bring back players for some time but in a long term, they need to give us something to do. New players have a lot to explore but veterans can beat Adam in a day or two. We need daily and weekly challenges, battlepass, maybe even some kind of taming and breeding either animals for the base defenses/boss fight support or humans for better souls. We just need something casual to do after we beat the game. Also, they should give us some uber rare drops from the bosses. Like 1% chance of drop from the Adam or the upcoming D***ula. Either Horse skin or some character skin or pretty much anything.

If this game gets a battlepass I will deinstall it. Already having to pay for the Destiny 2 and Fortnite seasonpasses is a pain, another subscription would be too much.
.. Okay I'm gonna agree with you on that one Charon, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥' despise the battlepass model and actually believe it detracts from a game. Miss when people would just play a game for enjoying it rather than "Feeling obligated" to, yknow?

Yea i am with these guys leave the crappy battlepasses out of it. They don't add anything meaningful to the game. If you want to add more stuff to do in the game you need to be more creative. A mode where you get a massive plot of land to build on and humans attack every now and then would be cool for PvE. Less players per map, but much larger building plots and new means of defending your castle.

Thank you for the response! I am really glad to hear there is no plans for a battlepass. The game is great with the format it has now, and has a lot of ways to expand the content. I am excited to see what comes out.

It would really suck if they added battle passes.
