Private Game settings not applying?

I've made 4 games each time with different settings to test them, not once to do the settings seem to work/save, clicking the "See Detailed Settings" and it seems to keep creating the games under default settings, any way to fix this?

You've probably not actually made the different settings. You need to save the settings profile with a name and select that as the ruleset for your game.

I've done that, have it saved as a custom, will also load it up and still doesn't apply.

You need to save the settings under a different name, then pick these settings in the creation of your game.

I can assure you that it works, there's something along the way you're not doing right.

Click on the save on the list and then open directory, find the server settings JSON file and manually edit that.

Sadly that's what I had to do, after a while and trying to find all the various files, spent a few hours looking through everything to get it all set up since all the guides are old and the places they tell you to go to are not right anymore.
