Your vampire is a spell-spamming whirlwind of blood and blades. Spells can deal a lot of damage, and your individual weapon strikes might not deal a ton of damage, but you attack quickly and frequently. Combine that with your enhanced mobility compared to your enemies and a 1v10 fight is completely in your favor.
I listed the items i'm in. My gear level is 41. The monsters are gear level 44 and they are destroying me.
I'm gear level 41 fighting gear level 44 mobs. They 4 shot me and I barely do any damage to them. Taking 6 or 7 spells to kill 2 mobs. lvl 44 bosses hp barely moves per spell I cast.
Oh so you just stepped into dunley, yeah, it can be hard to adjust to that. Difficulty spikes there when you're not expecting it. You need to get into that haunted iron mine and build yourself up some iron gear asap, frendo, that will help a lot.
Also need to go farm cotton for the iron age armor~
It's just a little tougher than normal the first few steps in. Find some iron to upgrade your weapons, and then kill Beatrice to unlock what you need for better armor. And then continue your campaign to the top.
jdtuggey has it right that a lot of enemies will be pretty intense; the militia longbows will never stop being a large source of damage intake (fire = bad) and you'll notice that some enemies, like the brawlers, are tough. Transition into iron weapons (raid the iron mine) and hunt down Beatrice (level 40 V Blood) for the recipes required to make the Act 2 armor. You will be level 47 (about) when you need additional techs in order to advance which, at that point, you will be equal level to the boss who gatekeeps the advanced Act 2 equipment.
If you're in full armor with an iron weapon and a basic Act 2 trinket the enemies will be formidable but well time dodges, parries, and spells will still leave you at a significant advantage.
Yeah brother, it's just a matter of tuning your game settings for your own preferences, and on the other side, I have faith that you can learn to get better. I'm old, my reflexes aren't what they used to be, and I play this game fine. You'll get used to it if you persevere! I trust! Otherwise, like I said, you can adjust the settings of your game to make it easier. c:
