If you'd think juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust a little bit further, feels like the intent behind that and the solution are really easy to come up with.
If not, I'm sure just searching for "Throne" will yield the answers you're looking for.
Just like... push you to have a little more creativity than just making a three story house for your castle and plopping your throne down in a corner where it fits. ;p
I guess putting a little bit of thought into your castle is too much to ask ? ;p
It's a silly restriction to have. I doubt the devs are "intent" on forcing their castle aesthetic on you. It's just a random inconvenience as a result of the new height system.
Pipe down boyo, you're not relevant enough to personally attack me rofl. I'm more than willing to have a conversation but you just discredited anyone who has complaints about that.
If you think that someone calling your imaginary point "silly," is a personal attack, then you're not mature enough to be participating in discussions anywhere.
It's just an unintentional relic from converting the building system from 2d to 3d. It's not intended by developers to force you to build grandiose throne rooms; that's just silly.
If it was an unintended relic, throne would be placeable, and would just clip through second floor. If they really wanted the throne to fit on one floor, it's not even 2 minutes to resize in engine.
Regardless, resizing is more than two minutes worth of work because it has to fit the player model, and maybe they just don't want to make it less big and impressive because it's supposed to be a throne.
Either way, the argument that this is intentional because the developers want to force a specific castle aesthetic is, and remains, silly. It's the kind of silly, imaginary reasoning that someone might come up with when they're high AF.
What if it's you who's being insensitive and prejudicial ? Using "you're high as ♥♥♥♥" to discredit a point is pretty discriminatory, if you wanna play that game.
And no, it's not more than two minutes of work, it's too big for player model already, could easily be resized a little more on the z axis than the others. If not, welp, 5 minutes of work from a modeler. I could easily tell you you're ignorant as ♥♥♥♥ about this sort of stuff myself, and go like "oh I'm not trying to misrepresent you to paint you in a bad light, you're making that up!"
Beyond that, wanna play the assumptions game ? You're assuming it's not intentional. Leads us nowhere~
Just try coming up with actual, informed points. ;p
Beyond that, you haven't brought anything to this discussion. I at least brought solutions to the table that don't require the help of the dev. You're litterally trying to paint me in a bad light over 4 floor tiles on the second floor. Clearly, you're looking for confrontation, not to move this conversation forward.
Now, you're free to go to the bug reporting site and either make a new bug report or vote on one that already exists, if it does (search for it first). I doubt they'll do much about stuff on the Steam forums.
Again trying to misrepresent me without bringing in legit arguments, I'll bring your more: The bookcases are as tall as the throne (Edit: okay, throne is just a smiiidge taller), yet they don't take two floors high. If they wanted the throne not to take two floors high, they wouldn't even need to resize it. Even if it clipped outrageously from the first floor into the second floor, they could just derender it when you're on the second floor.
Edit: https://puu.sh/JHHxl/3ada005b6f.png
Clearly, throne doesn't need much resizing, and player could easily still fit into it after resize. But that's irrelevant, since they could just derender it when you're on other floors.
It is intended, rofl.
I mean, who's really emotionally invested ? You haven't even brought anything to the conversation and you're trying to dismiss me by saying I'm high, then trying to dismiss me by making assumptions that I am emotional. Then, you get condescending telling me that I can't handle public forums when you're the one that misrepresents me because you disagree with my point, instead of bringing in solid arguments.
Does sound to me like you're angry because you can't fit throne on your first floor, and you're emotionally invested into making it happen and being right.
Here's some facts for you:
Thrones are taller than the walls.
Book cases are only about 80% of wall height.
That's a bit more than a "smidge."
Your first argument was "You're stoned, you're wrong".
Again, I give you arguments, and you don't even address them (Edit: Okay, you addressed one, wrongfully so, but still), but you're pretty quick to talk about me, this is the problem with your approach.
If you think I am any kind of angry, you're actually providing me entertainment while I wait for stuff in game. As much as you're assuming throne would be hard to resize, you're also making assumptions about my feelings and my intentions.
Bookcase are factually taller than 80% of a wall, and thrones are about as tall as the whole wall, just barely enough to clip through next floor, see screenshot provided.
If they wanted it to fit on one floor, they're a hop skip away, you can't deny that.
You making assumptions won't make thrones fit on a single floor. You'll just have to seethe and deal with it.
Edit: Bookcase screenshot, we're very close to the top of the wall:
