Bloodbound Equipment and why its ruining pvp gameplay.

Wheres the thrill of taking som1 elses gear. whats the point of pvp when all you can do is offline raid for better equipment.

Yes you are right but every highly populated and official pvp servers have Bloodbound Equipment enabled and i dont understand why they would change that from last early access. Is it a new feature?

I only play PvE on a private server with my BF, but assuming I was playing on a PvP focused server, I'd be grateful for bloodbound equipment. The grind for meterials is exceptionally tedious, especially in higher levels. If someone swoops in while you're in the middle of a tough fight, kills you, and you respawn with no gear, you better hope you have spare materials lying around to make a replacement set or you're gonna have to downgrade until you do.

And if your castle gets raided or taken over anytime before or after this, then it's gg for you since you've essentially been shunted all the way back to the very start of the game with nothing except for the v blood you earned.

I don't know, that just doesn't seem very enjoyable.

Their gear exists because they put in the time and effort to get it.

If there's some reason you feel that shouldn't apply to you then find a server that doesn't have it locked, or make your own.

Guess i wont have the joy of killing higher gear leveled players and taking their loot for my own anymore. I cant be the only one x.x

or you could just filter the server list by choosing to show merciless only. Problem solved

Like if you want to make something Bloodbound, like it should require a difficult process because you can NEVER lose it lol...

You mean like the massive time sink involved in fully kitting yourself out?

Merciless is less populated then regular pvp because no one wants to give themselves legit stress over gaming. I'm all for a challenge but pvp encounters have a 50% chance to be toxic as hell interaction as is, so stealing loot is just a nuisance many people likely don't want to deal with. I think it would be a fun encounter maybe 1 or 2 times tops.

People seem to hate starting from square one again but of course those who prep themseleves before going out wont lose anything but gearset.

I enjoy plundering and razing castles for loot but i enjoy picking off of dead corpses i've slain more. The adrenaline of risking your gearset for a better one is sublime
