Tips for Ungora?
I am stuck at Ungora the spider. So far I am able to get her down to 25% at best, but
the last phase is killing me. The adds are very sturdy and I can either ignore them and get overwhelmed at some point or focus them down and die due to poison or slow.

The best result so far is with pistols, ball lightning and chaos volley.
Does anyone have any pointers? Thank you.

I fight fire with fire. You're going to summon a hundreds adds? Two can play that game.

I use Corrupted Skull with split bolt spell jewel to double up my summons, and Ward of the Damned to summon more skeletons mainly when the boss does the spam poison bolt attack.

The enemies spend the majority of the fight dealing with your undead army, spawning even more when they die while condemned. Then you can focus on damaging the boss with Reaper E attack and Pistol Q attack for strong bursts of damage.

And if minions arent your game, Slashers E can get you around the mobs and Q has additional I-frames. With that you let the mobs chase your teleport image while setting up for attack. And dodge her direct attacks with Q and possibly a spell. Or you can run double high damaging spells, and lurk in the shadows during cooldown.

I had to run away and heal and reset the fight a few times, but the time i finally beat her I simply just used Pistols E spammed (merciless ofc), with corrupted skull and Ball lightning spell. I had 97% scholar, so ball lightning really kept up some kinda decent heals and damage, plus some free casts here and there helped. Pistol E, mainly on the boss when applicable, took care of a lot of damage + did some good damage on the mobs.

It's worth it to note that my Ball Lightning had a gem that allowed me to detonate it early for more damage. Use Veil of Chaos for the double dash, too. I didn't really use my ult much, but I think the storm ult from Octavian would probably be best since i think it gives you iframes.

Egg sacs around the room can also spawn additional adds unrelated to the boss spawned adds (all egg sacs in the cave can spawn adds)
You can clear those eggs before you fight the boss by sneaking around the room with rat form.

I was searching around in the old posts for tips, and something I saw which I completely forgot about like an idiot is that spears do extra damage to creatures, and Ungora counts as one of those. You can also use the harpoon attack to pull those annoying artillery spiders out of the poison puddles so you can stab them.

I dunno, just because spears do extra damage to ungora doesn't mean its the best job. spears don't have swing (only thrust) meaning you'd be hitting only 1 enemy, 2 at most. you'd be crying to your mom very fast when her army comes out.

reaper is still the best weapon when aoe matters.

Thanks everybody for the tips.

I ended up using "The Spoon God" advice using the shield and the corrupt bolt.
My luck on the jewels was pretty bad, so I sadly did not have the exact setup. I died first try and ended up going in with no blood type at all.

Just cycle around the boss spamming bolt and shield against the poison, slow and steady wins the race. I used the pistol a little bit, but focused a lot more on dodging.
Thanks again guys!

the king of...occasional aoes. you'd do the big spin or the little spin, and then you'd just have a large army of partially damaged but still enraged spiders running after you (most enemies can just run right through the spinning blade while only taking chip damage) and you would be forced to engage them at the same distance that they can attack you from anyway. also, i can hit up to four or five enemies at once with the spear, maybe you're just not using it right. either way, the spear isn't foolproof either because you are forced to stand in place while attacking, but it's not a dead end alternative like you think it is. the thing about the rapid thrust is that it does enough damage to actually kill them instead of having to slowly whittle them down with regular attacks while pushing through an already slow battle of attrition.

Which shield? I used Cursed Skull and Ball of Lightning. I find the shields to be kinda poor, but since a lot of people seem to swear by em (especially ward) i think I'm just very poor with them. As for focusing on dodging, big brain. With ungora, you really need to put most of your brain power on dodging her annoying spam. Veil of Chaos helps with that, and so does Pistol E. I find a lot of things can be solved by tossing a lot of powerful aoe at them so far lol. Pistol E is fun, Q is good when you have a few seconds to actually stand there and channel it on a boss. Sucks for any ads since it knocks them back, unless that's what you need at the time. I use slasher's Q instead for some iframe damage.

I beat her with Pistols that Had infusion of Illusion, With Blood Dash, Blood Rite, and Sanguine Coil. I just pelt her with Q when I'm close and Hit E do a Dodge and attack. When she does her Poison Volley I weave between bolts and hit her with my blood bolt.

When the adds come I focus them and Group them up with her. Hit Pistols E after an attack and let the explosion and Q ability Do damage and Keep them Centered around the Target with the Explosive Bullet.

With The Blood Rite Gemmed to give me stealth and More I-frames, I use that close to her and Set it off to Do more damage. Blood Dash is just for Regen and Inflicting Leech on targets when I dash thru them.

I used 97% Brute Blood which Syncs well with Leeching and Blood spells. Faster attack and More Healing Received.

I like the Brute blood type, so that sounds like a really fun build to mess around with at some point.

As said above, I'm currently using 97 scholar, in tandem with Chaos dodge Cursed Skull and Ball lightning. I didn't know you could gem Rite to give stealth... that seems like a really, REALLY good alternative to slashers E.

Most boss fights have a downtime where you can heal. Brew up a million rose brew, spam it during a decent window, and follow up with a shield skill to protect the healing. Keep your health up early in the fight and it's easier to handle the more dangerous phases near the end.

I've had good success with the corpse explosion and a shield skill. Do beware that undead minions will eat your shield cast because they count as "allies", which is the worst thing ever.

Unfortunately, Ungora has little if any downtime for you to heal. I tried, maybe i just didn't find it.

As for allies eating the shield, if you're referring to the illusion one it's based on where your mouse is (as far as I can tell).

Stealth Happens when You Turn Immaterial. It's saved my ass so many times. The Nice thing about it is if I attack it won't break stealth. Giving me a few good seconds to deal damage and wait for my other Skills to recharge.
