I use Corrupted Skull with split bolt spell jewel to double up my summons, and Ward of the Damned to summon more skeletons mainly when the boss does the spam poison bolt attack.
The enemies spend the majority of the fight dealing with your undead army, spawning even more when they die while condemned. Then you can focus on damaging the boss with Reaper E attack and Pistol Q attack for strong bursts of damage.
It's worth it to note that my Ball Lightning had a gem that allowed me to detonate it early for more damage. Use Veil of Chaos for the double dash, too. I didn't really use my ult much, but I think the storm ult from Octavian would probably be best since i think it gives you iframes.
You can clear those eggs before you fight the boss by sneaking around the room with rat form.
I dunno, just because spears do extra damage to ungora doesn't mean its the best job. spears don't have swing (only thrust) meaning you'd be hitting only 1 enemy, 2 at most. you'd be crying to your mom very fast when her army comes out.
reaper is still the best weapon when aoe matters.
I ended up using "The Spoon God" advice using the shield and the corrupt bolt.
My luck on the jewels was pretty bad, so I sadly did not have the exact setup. I died first try and ended up going in with no blood type at all.
Just cycle around the boss spamming bolt and shield against the poison, slow and steady wins the race. I used the pistol a little bit, but focused a lot more on dodging.
Thanks again guys!
oh, you mean when all spiders are at one spot and all gonna hit me at once? ward of damned!
Which shield? I used Cursed Skull and Ball of Lightning. I find the shields to be kinda poor, but since a lot of people seem to swear by em (especially ward) i think I'm just very poor with them. As for focusing on dodging, big brain. With ungora, you really need to put most of your brain power on dodging her annoying spam. Veil of Chaos helps with that, and so does Pistol E. I find a lot of things can be solved by tossing a lot of powerful aoe at them so far lol. Pistol E is fun, Q is good when you have a few seconds to actually stand there and channel it on a boss. Sucks for any ads since it knocks them back, unless that's what you need at the time. I use slasher's Q instead for some iframe damage.
When the adds come I focus them and Group them up with her. Hit Pistols E after an attack and let the explosion and Q ability Do damage and Keep them Centered around the Target with the Explosive Bullet.
With The Blood Rite Gemmed to give me stealth and More I-frames, I use that close to her and Set it off to Do more damage. Blood Dash is just for Regen and Inflicting Leech on targets when I dash thru them.
I used 97% Brute Blood which Syncs well with Leeching and Blood spells. Faster attack and More Healing Received.
I like the Brute blood type, so that sounds like a really fun build to mess around with at some point.
As said above, I'm currently using 97 scholar, in tandem with Chaos dodge Cursed Skull and Ball lightning. I didn't know you could gem Rite to give stealth... that seems like a really, REALLY good alternative to slashers E.
I've had good success with the corpse explosion and a shield skill. Do beware that undead minions will eat your shield cast because they count as "allies", which is the worst thing ever.
Unfortunately, Ungora has little if any downtime for you to heal. I tried, maybe i just didn't find it.
As for allies eating the shield, if you're referring to the illusion one it's based on where your mouse is (as far as I can tell).
Stealth Happens when You Turn Immaterial. It's saved my ass so many times. The Nice thing about it is if I attack it won't break stealth. Giving me a few good seconds to deal damage and wait for my other Skills to recharge.
