Fish farm
We have grow plots for the plants, tombs for bones, the mines for ore while stone, fibre and wood are plentiful but there's a rather large omission in the lack of a facility to produce fish.

Yes we have a fishing rod but that relies on spots that only give a single fish each time, if you're lucky, so why not have a pond that we can put a pair of fish into (or require fish to build) and then feed them with something and in a similar setup to the vermin nest they'll spawn over time. If the dev who thought fishing is great really want it could even be a castle structure that we need to wave the rod at to get the fish out.

>.> i want servant to do the fishing farm :D

Its tedious to upkeep fishy. Litterally the only thing that stopping me from doing it. But you can send out servant in dunlay to get fishs in the UI table of the castle throne.

Servants are the answer. Unfortunately, there's only 2 spots that give fish: Mosswick Village in the Dunley Farmlands, and the Brighthaven Docks in Brighthaven.

Forgot about the servant missions but since those are locked into requiring 23 hours for completion it again highlights the need a better way of gathering fish.

merchants also sell some fish every now and then.

They're not locked to 23 hours. That's you not understanding the UI. The time for missions is a slider.

They aren't locked to 23h, tho. You can send them for 2h, but with a bit higher risk.

The 2h hunts has 25% chance of injury and it goes down to 15% for the 23h missions.

Usually, sending them for 2h multiple times gives you more resources than sending them for longer.

You can send them out for 2/8/16/23 hours at a time, and that timer does continue on private servers now, if you're on one.
Glyph May 24, 2023 @ 9:37pm
Send them on long missions when you're about to quit for the day so they're back when you play again. They even work offline now.
Mr. Fibble May 25, 2023 @ 2:53am
I sit corrected, found out about the change to the offline timer and only got around to using them since having to run a server purely to get the missions working properly was a long neglected issue. And yes there was the admin command if you wanted to spam a command over and over.

Meanwhile......

Fish farms!

Honestly, I seem to be getting more bones than fish from fishing anymore since the update, so a fish farm would be a great addition if they're going to make getting actual fish from fishing a lower chance than before. You'd still need to catch/buy the fish you want in the farm after all. Probably feed them somehow too so they don't starve in the pond. Fish ponds would be a great addition visually for rooftop gardens now too.

Do you mean solo offline servers that timer has always continued on private servers

I also made a post about how terrible fishing is. I agree fish farms would be nice.

While servants might be the "answer" it really isn't. I mean they don't always bring back fish and sometimes they bring back ones you don't even want. Lets be honest 90% of the time we want Sage and Rainbow Trout.

I think fishing also straight up needs a rework. I already posted this in the discord suggestions. these were my thoughts on the matter.

I can think of several ways to improve this.

1) Leave everything as is but allow us to fish each spot 3x.
2) Change the percent of fish you catch to 75%-85%
3) This is my favorite idea. Add lures to the game and maybe a fishing skill or additional rods. That increases the % of fish you can catch in each specific region.

Another person suggested maybe a kitchen and mobs could drop spices and animals could drop meat and other ingredients. I do like that idea as well.

We need something more consistent to keep prisoners misery down ESPECIALLY since Merlot recipe and prison floors come wayyyy to late in the game to be fully useful for the majority of the content.

Strictly for the purpose of prisoners this seems a bit overkill. It'd be one thing if they did something with recruiting human allies without transformation somehow, but just for feeding prisoners a whole ass food prep station seems a bit much. More fish would suffice. Could even have the farm be limited to a single fish type for each station. Make us need more ponds than one to really benefit from multiple types of fish at once.

Fish farm sounds nice but I get the feeling it would have even worse rates for the misery reducing fish if they did implement it.

I personally don't mind the fishing but I can see how not everyone wants to spend hours just fishing like I do so maybe they just increase the chance of getting the rare fish from the current system?

I will say after spending two in-game nights at the Brigthaven docks it was pretty underwhelming how many misery reducing fish I did end up getting between the fishing spots and breaking all the crates.

Want to say I might have left there with 5 or 6 rainbow trout but not a single sage fish and as far as I'm aware Silverlight has the best chances of getting those fish vs the other areas.

I guess it depends on your perspective. Me I love new stuff and new rooms and new work stations and recipes. So if I could make a whole ass kitchen.. I'd love it.

We have 6 people in my clan and we go through a lot of blood we have 2 castles with 8 prisoners each in them. Also, it would work along side the current game as is and maybe people could just ignore it if they though it was a bit much.
