i used 2 unholy skills death knight and that first one and used blood dash and spear. skeles keep her and the mosqitos busy.

Edit: for voltatia, same thing. skeles keep her and the snipers busy. just seems like the devs just spammed "Boss summons adds" for the last hand full of bosses.

I beat him in 2 attempts. Almost killed it the very first time but got caught off guard by phase 2 abilities. Ha ha.

Pistols with sanguine coil /w projectile bounce for double heal keeps you alive easily in all encounters. Then just chaos shield and illusionists veil.

I thought the fight was a lot of fun.

Why do you think it's horribly designed? Because you can't kill it? :^)

^This. Adam indeed surprisingly felt the easiest among shard bearers and I killed him on the 2nd try while others required more attempts even though i had plenty of experience with the them and knew their moveset unlike Adam about whose abilities i didn't have even the slightest clue.

We must be talking about different bosses. Of the three shardbeaers, he's horrible. Constant knockback, constantly interrupting the player, constantly throwing the player across the arena.... Or maybe you both had a bugged version where he didn't do any of that. Or you didn't fight him solo.

Nah, i fought him solo like on the 2nd or 3rd day after release. His attacks are always clearly telegraphed and easy to sidestep out of them just on foot even during the 2nd phase so you always have control over the situation and he doesn't put that much pressure so you always have your space ready whenever he dashes into you, unlike Gorecrusher, for instance, which creates a copy of himself and brings adds which often put you in a situation where you don't have escapes to respond to certain threats if you are not mindful enough about your CD management. The Adam on the other hand i killed with just singular escape - space, with chaos volley, sanguine coil and scythe as a weapon (primarily to destroy lasers quicker).
Every boss fight in this game boils down to learning their patterns and changing your skill loadout to magic that cheese them the best.

If they rapid fire, you use unholy shield. If they are high on sugar, you use the double dash and maybe a blood veil. If you can reasonably kite them, you equip two magic missiles and spam them from afar, etc.

After playing this game with Hard Mode pve settings, anything feels so ez, just make urself a build with healing/leeching/shielding, if u struggle in pve crossbow and kiting might help, and then just prepare, use buffs, find good blood, wait for blood moon to kill super strong bosses.
