One very specific misplay against a telegraph. Can't blame the game for teaching you to avoid telegraphs early on. ;p
Forgive me if I'm coming off as rude as I really don't mean to but without that ability he lacks any way to fight the player. His normal attacks don't hit if you're moving, his skeletons don't hit if you're moving, his teleport doesn't target you so you often don't have to worry about it, and that leaves his circle-o-skulls as his big "you must actually be careful" move.
I guess it doesn't have to 1-shot but, if I'm being honest, you'd have to be hugging the guy to get hit by more than 2 missiles and any fewer than that won't kill you unless you're already wounded. If you're already wounded it wasn't really a 1-shot, it was just a powerful attack that hit and happened to close out the fight.
If you've got all bosses down multiple times then damn, I'm shocked you're mad about Nicholaus. I've got a personal vendetta against some bosses... my brain just shuts down when I see Matka, dramatically dying from overexposure to my lack of brain cells.
