To be honest, I feel like if you want more gametime out of this game, sure. PVP is an aspect, but if you're already maxed on gear, shards completed, I feel like PVP is kinda pointless because you're not really risking anything. All PVP does is drag out game progression because you're constantly burning resources, it's just a dif type of playing. I think the biggest limit is the fact that you can only have ~40 vampires at a time on each server, most people just stop playing after completion and I think it keeps interactions minimal. Their game design makes it really hard to make this a high pop game, I feel like if they changed some of their ideas up and figured out how to get more people onto a server, it could be much more successful
Example: PVE makes and creates gear, PVP can take it from someone else (if Full Loot is even active, which most people avoid in the first place). That's a PVE primary mechanic that has a secondary PVP use.
Survival-lite mechanics
Castles as a whole system
Crafting progression
Boss rush central progression
Gear progression and acqusition
Loot and material progression and acquisition
Magic unlocks (Gloomrot removed all Against Player effects, like the Frost tree)
Every Vampire Power
Everything to do with Waygates and Horses
Prison/villager web of progression and power
The very few things that are objectively designed for PVP require specific servers with specific settings to actually make use of (and even that's not always true):
Castle Keys
Explosives
Siege Golems
If you want, you can join with our solo/duo full loot pvp server that has no raids. It's mainly crafted for mature players who have jobs. We like to build beautiful castles and same time PvP for full loot. Mostly, everyone are friendly and chatty. You would like to play there if your into socializing with others.
It's and EU server, so people are playing mostly after work. Usually we have around 30 players online at evenings and weekends.
PS: Shards will reset bi-weekly and one Soul Shard goes to winner of PvP event that we host time to time. PvP duels will take place in a huge arena and fights are equal.

There is Critical Chance stat so it’s not entierely designed for PvP.
In case you don't know, There are "No raiding" servers which have PvP but remove the need to be online every day to defend the castle.
That said, the game is plenty fun pve if you like building. I have a blast just chopping trees and building cool castles and having some arpg/diablo like combat too.
this is the dumbest thing I've ever read in these forums..
400 hours here not a single second of PVP..
He's not wrong, this game does feel like it was designed for PVP to me, and I don't even PVP on it. I don't mean to be diminutive or insulting to your experience, game plays great in PVE, I'm actually going through a pve playthrough with like a dozen friends. A lot of people are reporting that this game is like 10x better when you start pvping, and a lot of mechanics don't make much sense in a PVE context, like castle decay.
I may think this Coe dude completely talks out of his ass on other topics, but there, he's kinda right. ;o
Game plays really well in pve still though. c:
shorty people have this! only bait to get some attention and feel special xD
"A lot of people are reporting that this game is like 10x better when you start pvping,"
A lot of people report fapping is much better when you start doing with more people. But its not designed to be done with people, but solo. Get it? XD
