Is Full Loot PVP Dead?
Somebody start a bussin Hardcore pvp server. Hence "Bloodbound Disabled". Are all vampires wussies now lol. This is what keeps us PVP players alive in this game. A reason why we pvp... to be the strongest.

Look, too bad your a minority on full loot PvP choices.

Plenty of other games like that out there. V Rising players aren't interested in wasting valuable time re-gearing.

Full Loot PvP appeals to a very narrow range of players, it turns out, and relies upon a "wolf and sheep" dynamic where the wolves prey upon the sheep, and the sheep get sick of it pretty quick and leave. After this, the wolves might infight for a while, but without the sheep, they lose interest. Then the next full loot PvP game comes out and the cycle repeats.

Exactly. Well said. Similar to what is happening in Sea of Thieves.
"Imo" Full loot PvP in V Rising is for people who truly love this game. They play it because they know that in full loot resources hold more value and that makes game last longer and more thrilling. They don't choose this setting to finish the game to rush to other games.

Ps: It all depends on community ofc.
I have heard about toxic official servers and I would not play there too.
full loot PvP has been ded all the time,there is only a couple people that enjoy it.
They play a couple hours on these servers and move on,they only want the early action,the next day the server is empty and another is gonna get wiped,rinse and repeat..
thats the only reason these servers die so quick.

They made the same mistake than before,people cant stick for long enough to a server,a big problem in v-rising.

By the way, when I check the servers, I notice a decline in population across all types, from PvE to PvP to Full loot PvP. Of course, there are fewer people who enjoy full loot compared to PvE or normal PvP.

NB: There's one peculiar thing about V-Rising that isn't related to the server settings or full loot. We call them 'server jumpers.' These players hop from server to server, playing for maybe 3 hours at most or a day. They think a server isn't active and move on to find a new one. However, what they fail to realize is that people who play on servers have lives and aren't online 24/7. After the initial release hype, players tend to spend less time on the game. Most gamers don't stick to just one game but play several.

The joys of full loot:
Log on a server, get the rat form, camp a really high level boss and wait for someone to come, when you get the chance jump him and become lvl 80 in a few hours depending on your RNG while punishing people for playing the game.

Sounds fun as hell I wonder why people are not into that

The two types of PVP currently available are both quite terrible.

One makes you drop all your stuff with exception of your gear that just massively breaks by 12-20% instead.

The other makes you drop all your stuff, gear included.

With the prevailing effect gear has on PVP (not to mention shards), all you need is a single high-level player to effectively shut down an entire server in the current state of the game with the latter being the easier way to do it so it's no surprise.

Those are all lies. People are scared of full loot because they are attached to their stuff, they don't want to lose their gear. Wuzzies you say? I killed a player on normal PvP server, he logged out and quit. On merciless server we challenge each other, lose and laugh about it. We grind new resources to craft new ♥♥♥♥ and see that as someone lengthened our time in this awesome game.

My point is. If you are into PvP, merciless is more thrilling, has more depth in it and makes V Rising last longer.

No durability server are great because of that.
Full loot PvP has always been cringe, sorry.
pvp players are pve players that don't want to bother the pve content.

you have no excuse to not fight each others naked with your bare hands... isn't that fun eh ?
game is developed bad for full loot... the design doesn't fit to make it fun, hence, nobody plays it
RNG is to restrictive for full loot, the problem persisted before gloomrot with research RNG making full loot distasteful because having a random number generator decide if you can compete or not doesnt make for fun competition when your entire progress is at stake, The issue has been amplified with the gloomrot update with expanded RNG on weapon stats and spell upgrades.

Some RNG is fun but our entire PvP QoL depending on it when it has so many variables kills the fun, reducing costs to roll down to 1 mat, or allowing improvement of stats through game play, or removing some of the noncompetitive stats so we have less variables to roll on would really have nothing but positive impact.

I'm not at all the kind of person who would be interested in something like Full Loot PvP I was only surprised because somehow I had the impression there was a much higher demand for it.

Apparently not! But it makes sense.
