I want to get the DLC

I want to get the DLC but I host a server for my friends to play on. If I got the DLC while being the one to host the server will they be able to see what I see and put down/equip or will they also have to get the DLC to play with me? how does that work exactly?

I don't have the DLC and I see DLC content a couple of my friends use on my dedicated server. ^^

As far as I understand and is logical is that anyone can see the stuff you build with DLC skins, but they cannot build it themselves. But they shouldn't need to have the DLC to play on the same server as you. Don't know if they'll be able to equip some of the DLC-specific stuff, but I kinda doubt it.

A buddy of mine has the dracula relic set while i just bought the sinister, and we swapped capes. The building dlc stuff can be seen however cant be shared unless in same clan, ie door or throne. This excludes the coffin which can only be placed for you. Hope this helps

If you're in a clan you can benefit from most of the dlc. Your castle can have cosmetics you don't have as long as the owner of the dlc is placing them. They can make you a dlc coffin that you can sleep in. They can make you the dlc capes and you can wear them.

the only restriction regarding DLC is that you can't build/craft them, but someone else can.

hell if someone who has the DLC craft gear/ buildings and you share the castle/equipment, you can simply equip the gear/move around the buildings even if you do not own the DLC, the restriction is purely the crafting command.

also if you host your own server, with a little tweak in the command you can spawn said item via admin prompt

Pretty sure you can just hand them all your DLC items, then relog and you will have them all back. At least that is how it worked before this major update.
