Tried hosting my own offline server but the steps for setting up are... maybe just being done incorrectly by me? But my game crashes each time I attempt it, or it fails to connect.
I assume it's laggy because of how the server hosting works, but I'm unaware if you need to connect to a listening server even for a solo game. FPS lag would be the only kind of lag in a properly offline world, latency (rubberbanding) tells me I'm not actually offline or "solo".
It's clear to us that's just the game's issue, that needs to be addressed ASAP.
I've found it's heavily tied to the castle floor limit however. I just lowered mine to 1 floor, no stairs usable, fixed it almost completely. If I turn it up, despite not even having a castle in a solo server, game just lags like crazy.
