Honestly sounds like a corrupted file, do a file check.
I worked IT and 99% of problems I dealt with were user errors, but in 99% of these cases, users blamed the software, me, or everything else except themselves. ;o
Same, I don't have any issues myself, except some very minor hitching in gloomrot biome veeery occasionally.
If only OP made a reasonable post, we'd probably be here trying to find solutions, but instead he made an entitled post, and we're here feeling like he's not worth helping out and we should point out his entitlement.
i verified my files, they came back fine, my computer is running fine outside of THIS specific game, i opened 6 other games i have downloaded (x4, bannerlord 2, rdr 2, edf 5, just to name a few) and they ran as i expected them to so it isnt a hardware issue, its this specific game that is having issues
Yeah, I expect my games to work, but if I encounter issues like you do, I don't immediately assume it's the game, especially when very few others are reporting issues. I look into the issues I have and if they are common first, ie: I try to resolve it before I come on the forums and say the game is broken.
A way this wouldn't have felt entitled to me is if you'd taken the approach of giving an explanation of your problem, with detailed information, to get help. Like "I have slowdowns when playing the game, I didn't have slowdowns before. Here are my specs: xxxx, what could be causing the issue, is there a solution ?"
We got none of this and your post comes off as "Fix my problem, devs". You don't even know if it's you or the game having an issue. It's not because other software work fine that your setup is not the issue in the equation. Very few other people are experiencing issues.
I mean, I can run this game with other 3d intensive software running in the background with midrange hardware that is a few years old at this point.
The dude probably smokes beside his PC and hasn't cleaned the rat nest out of it. I don't know how many times I've seen that.
I'm sure you can tell, but am also sure you can come here and ask for help and give detailed info about your problem instead of being like "wtf why u break game dev". If there is indeed a problem, you might help resolve it by doing this.
It's not a matter that I doubt that you have an issue, it's more a matter of attitude. "wtf why u break game dev" helps no one, not you, not the dev, doesn't help me help you, won't fix the problem.
Yeah, this is why I don't work IT anymore. :D
