what did they do to ruin this game? laggy unplayable and caused my pc to lag
i played this before the update for 30 hours and had ZERO issues with it, i have no issues with any other game but this one when i decided to reinstall and boot the game up, i find i have to remake my solo private character and do so, and from the moment i pop the casket there is lag on claw attacks, on the space blood rush, and its altogether playing like crap compared to before!

then when i try to close the game it freezes and causes my entire pc to lag as i struggle to open task manager to force it to shut down.

this is unplayable.

Hmm, I'm not having those problems
Lycanious Jun 1, 2023 @ 12:08am
Not having ANY issues at all when playing, that's all you mate. refresh your files, redownload the game.

Honestly sounds like a corrupted file, do a file check.

This tendency to immediately blame game when things go wrong.
I worked IT and 99% of problems I dealt with were user errors, but in 99% of these cases, users blamed the software, me, or everything else except themselves. ;o
Same, I don't have any issues myself, except some very minor hitching in gloomrot biome veeery occasionally.

If only OP made a reasonable post, we'd probably be here trying to find solutions, but instead he made an entitled post, and we're here feeling like he's not worth helping out and we should point out his entitlement.

Actually Im going to back up OP here. The game after the last hotfix went from 60 fps with no dips at all to ...8 fps. I have no idea why but I cant seem to rollback and I sure as hell cant play it right now.

i dont believe i made an "entitled" post, unless expecting a playable game i paid for is entitlement, it worked prior to the update, i had 30 hours in it and it ran great, then the update came about and suddenly i have issues

i verified my files, they came back fine, my computer is running fine outside of THIS specific game, i opened 6 other games i have downloaded (x4, bannerlord 2, rdr 2, edf 5, just to name a few) and they ran as i expected them to so it isnt a hardware issue, its this specific game that is having issues

Could just get an actual PC and not a potato? Works for me every time.

Yeah, I expect my games to work, but if I encounter issues like you do, I don't immediately assume it's the game, especially when very few others are reporting issues. I look into the issues I have and if they are common first, ie: I try to resolve it before I come on the forums and say the game is broken.

A way this wouldn't have felt entitled to me is if you'd taken the approach of giving an explanation of your problem, with detailed information, to get help. Like "I have slowdowns when playing the game, I didn't have slowdowns before. Here are my specs: xxxx, what could be causing the issue, is there a solution ?"

We got none of this and your post comes off as "Fix my problem, devs". You don't even know if it's you or the game having an issue. It's not because other software work fine that your setup is not the issue in the equation. Very few other people are experiencing issues.

I mean, I can run this game with other 3d intensive software running in the background with midrange hardware that is a few years old at this point.

I was also in IT for about 12 years. You're never going to get through to people like the OP. They think because there aren't problems with other games, it must be a software issue.

The dude probably smokes beside his PC and hasn't cleaned the rat nest out of it. I don't know how many times I've seen that.

man, smoker's households with cats, you get this thick, gooey "fabric" in the fans, just clogs everything down in the computer, and they come to you and they're like "I don't know what's wrong man, my gpu throttles after 5 minutes of playing GTA."

Holy ♥♥♥♥ I didnt want to reply to trolls but damn you "IT" guys are entitled as ♥♥♥♥. Most of us arent neanderthals, and we can tell if something is a software issue by it stopped working when the update happened. Its really not hard. As you suggested it doesnt seem to be a widespread issue, but it IS an issue.

I'm sure you can tell, but am also sure you can come here and ask for help and give detailed info about your problem instead of being like "wtf why u break game dev". If there is indeed a problem, you might help resolve it by doing this.

It's not a matter that I doubt that you have an issue, it's more a matter of attitude. "wtf why u break game dev" helps no one, not you, not the dev, doesn't help me help you, won't fix the problem.

Man, that's the first time I've heard that in 12 years. My eyes were opened. Thank you, sincerely.

I have yet to hear any information that might help me even start problem solving. ;o
Yeah, this is why I don't work IT anymore. :D

are you writing fanfiction about me? ive never smoked a day in my life and i clean my pc case monthly, and i regularly update drivers and why would you jump to hardware trouble when i pointed out my hardware was fine with other more intensive games? im thinking you got fired from IT because you didnt have a clue what you were doing if it was dust or ♥♥♥♥ like you made up in your little story why would the other more intensive games run fine?
