Besides movement, you have counter spells and wards that can negate ranged attacks, including those damnable fire arrows, and other abilities that offer invulnerability frames.
You either have ranged enemies that are laughably horrible at aim; such as games where they don't track you and shoot at your exact spot at the moment without tracking your movement.
Or you have enemies that are extremely good at predicting your movements and read your input, which can come off as unfair. Like Conan Exiles, the enemies in that read your input and track your movement and velocity. It's more or less impossible to dodge arrows/projectiles in that game if you are up close. Doable at a range, not so up close.
There is no middle ground. We haven't found one yet.
The best solution would be to just nerf their damage or give you some easy way to deal with it like some kind of shielding that shrugs off one or two hits at a time, or items that reduce ranged damage overall.
*shrugs*
You can learn to dodge it and lure their attacks out n stuff but.. y'know... the average player is lazy. Skills take effort and you gotta press buttons. ugh.. what a hassle~
Arrow NPC's only trace your current location for about 35 degrees before waiting a second and firing.
But flintlockers in Silverlight hills are something different.
They sometimes really do feel like ones which use aimbot hacks. :D
Remember, everyone is playing for different reasons. Not everyone is looking for challenges.
To be honest I don’t see much of an insult in what he said. He’s actually kinda right.
Yes, people do play for different reasons but the AI, which can be kinda tough, is perfectly fine in this game as it is obviously intended to not be a cakewalk through the whole game. Since it’s not a bug but the intention of the devs I raise the question: who is OP to kinda demand (capslock + irrationally exaggerating) that AI gets nerfed? I do smell some sort of entitlement here.
There are very easy ways to know when/how to dodge as other people have already mentioned (sound cues etc.) and just because someone has problems with the design it’s not the devs duty to cater the perfect experience to that particular person. Instead learn, try harder or look for something else. It’s as simple as that. :)
