Why the long process to boot up a game? Honestly...
So I have had the game for some time now and decided to play it again since it had been awhile since I played. I guess I didn't recall the painful long time that it takes to start up a game. I thought maybe I had checked some settings like how many people are playing on the "server" and such, so I decided to create a new game "solo" and maybe this would be quicker. Nope... Why does it seem like I am loading a dust covered NT server when I click "Play"? Actually I shouldn't nag on the NT server, I think it actually boots quicker than this game! LOL. Feedback plz... TY

idk man i'm rather suprised the other way around - never takes me longer then a few seconds to load the game/load into a server and i seriously just got a medium rig.

Game is on an NVME , 16 gig ddr4 and a ryzen 5 2600.

You using a HDD or something OP?

With the new update the game now prewarms the shaders used, I think to prevent stuttering when entering a new area while you're playing, so loading times are longer as a result. Should only happen when you load onto each server for the first time

No idea what your issue is but it took me 46 seconds from when I clicked play on Steam till I presses space-bar to "wake up" on my server. If 46 seconds is a long time then I don't know what to tell you. lol.

Well, it never used to load so slow. Thought maybe with the update. I have a fairly good rig, 32 GB DD4, Ryzen 5 CPU, on a regular SATA, my main OS is on SSD, running a NVIDIA GTX 1080. Never had any issues with anything I play. Seriously, not sure why it literally loads so slow. Oh well, I was hoping that Solo load would be faster. Nope. WTH

OK, so let's be clear... Loading the game up is super quick. It is when I load a game from the main screen it was taking just under 2 minutes to load the game save.

I was able to go into game settings and disable online backup to the Cloud and a few other settings. This allowed me to get it down to 1 minute and 20 seconds.

Are you guys saying that you are loading your game saves from the main screen in around 15 seconds???

So as a comparison, I loaded Valheim and from the main menu I can load into a game save in about 25 seconds. I know, I know, these are not the same game, however I'm just wondering why I used to load the Vrising much quicker until after the update. Who knows...

You probably have your shader cache turned off. Go do your driver setting and turn on shader cache for a much faster load time.

it takes seconds from launching the game to playing.
