Stuck at 55

I cant seem to figure out how to increase my level gear score to push further. I am stuck at 55 right now and dont know how to get to higher end stuff in order to match the level of bosses.

I already beat Octavian, Raziel, and everyone up to that point. I havent fought the other two, since I dont think medium bags are going to help me progress, nor will Primal Blood Essence(yet) and Pistols. I dont have access to silk for the Dawn gear, since I need to kill the spider, who is 62. Even if I did get access to Primal Blood, it does me no good until I can get radium alloy, which is a 60 fight. And I dont know how effective the recipe will be, considering I dont have access to the materials for it either.

As it stands, I feel like my next step is to find a way to 60, but I cant see any way to close that gap just yet. Are we supposed to fight enemies 5-7+ levels over our character? Is there some hidden mechanic I dont know about? Can i just farm the radium alloy without fighting the boss? Is there somewhere in Dunley to get mutant grease and silk?

edit- I will leave this up, because I think I may be an idiot. I never made the Artisan table, and thus didnt have the upgraded magic item. The one crafting table to slip under my radar

if you can't/afraid to fight bosses that are slightly above your level, then just get full T2 gear. Full merc armor, merc weapon and upgraded amulet puts you at level 60 and all of it is accessible within dunley farmlands and it's easy to acquire since you can just buy the needed books from the merchants.

What Jonkler said. Full T2 should put you at level 63, without blood boosts. You can clear lvl 60 and lvl 62s at lvl 63.

You *can* farm Radium Alloys at the factory location, without killing a boss. Kill the mechs and break open all the crates.

uhm...I have full Merciless hallowfang stuff, as well as a merciless weapon and the highest ring I can make. I dont have the ability to make any of my amulets, and I'm stuck at 55

Edit- I am in fact an idiot, and forgot the artisan table. It did bring me to 61, not 63 though.
